The house we moved into was nice and all. But Sergio wouldn't shut up about sleeping in the same room. It's all he wanted, he says. Haha, me and Sergio alone in a room? Not happening.
...yet. Or at all.
He decides to obnoxiously knock my door for over 20 times, attempting to wake me.
*knock knock*
"MARINITA, YOU AWAKE?"
*knock knock*
"wake up."
*knock knock*
"You know, I can hear you."
*knock knock*
"Why must you lock the door?!"
*knock knock*
"Well fine."
*knock knock*
"I miss you.."
He walks away from the door, groaning in annoyance.
"Are you done knocking?" I yell.
His feet pound the ground as he runs back to the door.
".....yes.." In a low voice.
"Okay, wait, please."
I dress myself, then thought, it will be pretty awkward, since last night, uh you know, he basically smushed his face against mine. Also didn't talk the rest of the night besides little answers. Like "Yes," or "Okay," to little questions such as: "Are you going to eat this?" or "Can I use this?"
I didn't exactly kiss him back,
I just puckered my lips.
On his.
Okay, so maybe that was kissing him back, but that's not the point here.I open the door, just to see Sergio gone.
Looking around, I mutter to myself, "Was I going crazy?"
My eyes are attracted by a bright pink note on my door, hearing the boom of the front door slam closed. The note read:
WENT TO BUY EGGS
-Sergio :*I couldn't tell what was worse.
The kissy emoticon or the fact he wants to try and cook.
Like dude.
I know for a shit fact you can't cook.
To pass the time, I do nothing but on my phone.
Not one text from him.
When he left it was about 10:30.
Its 12 now. Should I be concerned that it takes him almost 2 hours to get ONE carton of eggs?
Ring, ring goes the doorbell.
I rush over, and start cursing.
"Jesus christ, Sergio! You take so fuc-" Some random guys held this paper that read,
"A breakfast, for my beautiful roommate! ." In bold blue letters, with blue sparkles coming off the bottom.
Then Sergio came inside, whispering to the guys saying,
"Okay, that's it. Thanks guys."
He shoos them away, closing the door and puts the late breakfast down.
"Its almost 1, so it's not breakfast." I tell him.
"NO IT'S NOT! My watch says 11:04.." He raises his voice a tad bit, then lowers down to a little kid voice. He plops himself down on the chair and rests his palm on his chin.
"You can't read, Sergio. It's 1:05."
He looks down, and a frown goes across his face.
I made him feel stupid, but I already said it.
"Haha it's the thought that counts, right?" I say and nervously smile.
He looks up, and opens the brown bag which contained breakfast.
"Just eat, will ya?" He smirks, rolling and throwing a tinfoil ball at me.
It was really cute that he went through all this trouble just to make me a "First morning in the new house" breakfast. It was adorable, but he's pretty pissed now.
Didn't mean to. Whoops, again.
I ate everything that was in there. An omelette, bacon, pancakes and oranges. He also got me BLACK COFFEE. This man knew my favorite. But I could tell it was from iHop. Trust me, I know my restaurants.
"So, I can tell you liked it?" He asks.
"Yes! Of course! Thank you!" I get up, and squeeze him. Jesus his abs and muscles are hard as rocks.
He chuckles, "It's no problem." And pecks my cheek.
He has been too sweet lately.
Too sweet.
Too charming.
Too elegant.
Too much of everything.
Only means one thing.
It's happening again.
Fuck.
{Sergios POV}
I was no rocket scientist, but I could tell when someone was ignoring me. Especially when it came to Marina. Ever since the kiss I randomly felt to give her, she has made no eye contact, and only answered in easy or cursing sentences. Trust me, I kept count. And I felt bad, because I didn't want to ruin our amazing friendship we had kindled over the past couple months. So it felt like a dump truck ran over me when she did kiss me back.
"Marina..!" I called, circling the kitchen.
She walks out from her room, scratching her messy bun, with an oversized shirt that said, "Someone who loves me got me this shirt from Disneyland, California!"
"What, Sergio?" Groaning after each word.
I frown at her and say, "I didn't get you that shirt."
"Yeah, but when did you ever get me anything that meant something?" She puts her hands down by her side and walks to the fridge. "Now, what did you wake me up for?" And looks over from the fridge door, with a look on her face that says, "hurry up before I punch you."
I turn around to the marbled counter and say, "Oh, just wondering if you wanted breakfast, buttt.. you got that handled.." As she takes out the milk carton.
"Ugh, just make me eggs?" And throws a stick of butter at me.
"You could've said please." I mutter.
"Make me eggs or I will cut you," She says, grabbing a knife from the drawer and waving it around.
"Yes, ma'am." And stroll go off to the stove. I didn't get her sometimes. She was passionate and sweet one second, then the other seconds she wanted to shoot me on the spot. I chuckled to myself as I flipped the eggs on the silver pan. She looks up and says, "What's up? The only time you ever chuckle randomly is when you're thinking.." I start laughing like a heyna and she stares at me, raising an eyebrow up. "Is everything okay, Sergio? You're kind of scaring me." She mumbles. "That was the point." I say, scooping up the eggs and dropping them on the plate like dead flies.
This was going to be an adventure and I was happy to bring the one I adore, Marina.
