A/n:
mí amor ; Spanish translation for my love.
-My heart suddenly ached as the words slipped out of Marc's mouth, "Tell Sergio that isn't going to happen."
•
I slowly turn around towards him, my eyes widen in surprise, as I say, "Tell him yourself.." Saying this, he grabs the phone from me, as I can hear Sergio yelling. "Marc here. If you think you're going to screw Marina over, then take her away from me..." He lets go a chuckle, "Think again, lover boy." His hand reaches for my phone, tapping the end button. My eyes meet his, which had such promise glossing them.
"Marc, if you want Sergio to leave easily, that wasn't a good idea, you know." I softly say, giving the Spaniard a grimacing look. My hands were empty, as he had taken my phone, so I laid myself out onto the warm grass. He stood over me, his shadow casted across my body. He started laughing, and dropped my phone next to me. "And mí amor, why do you expect me to care about what he does? Soon, he won't be a bother anymore...," He takes a breath, looking up to the clear blue sky, "As he has a new life to look forward to, so do I." He then shifts his head to look down upon me, a warm smile rested among his baby face. He gets on one knee, slowly laying himself along the warm grass next to me. "I can't wait for Barcelona with you." He whispers into thin air, as I turn my head towards him, a smile grew on my face and I couldn't stop it. I had suddenly grew feelings for Marc, and the ones I had for Sergio were buried somewhere in my heart. And they weren't going to ever be dug up again. Marc was right. Sergio does have a new life to look forward to, with his son and Pilar. All these thoughts of Sergio getting married to Pilar, them moving in together, both growing with each other...
Made me feel amazing. The man I once felt such strong feelings for, being happy; is all I wished and hoped for. Even if it isn't me making him happy, I don't mind as long as a smile appears on his face whenever he sees Pilar; like he used to with me.
Its insane to know so much has happened in such little time. Things change so quickly, it's like they're not even happening.. Or it's all an illusion, or a dream almost. It breaks my heart to pieces, but everything will take a little bit to get used to. In Barcelona, things will be different. At least for a while. My home is Madrid. But as things are changing so quickly, who knows if that will still be accurate?~
Sergio's POV :
I quietly sat in the kitchen of the home of Pilar Rubio. One of my hands were wrapped around a mug of coffee, the other clicked a pen as I was anxiously waiting the arrival of Pilar. Not only was I nervous for Pilar to come, I was frustrated with Marina and Marc. First off, why was Marc with Marina? Or why was Marina with Marc? Why are they even with each other? You're so stupid, Sergio, they obviously like each other since you fucked up. God, why can't I ever do anything right? Marc got under my skin, and while he was doing that, he got Marina wrapped around his little annoying Spanish finger. I bet he got Marina thinking that I'm the devil now. I miss her so, too goddamn much. It wasn't too long ago that I was able to say she was all mine, and now that's Marc right to say.
Suddenly, my thoughts are cut as high heels are tip tapping away and the front door slams. "Sergio?" Pilar yells, dropping her car keys somewhere as I can hear them jingle. I let go of the pen and coffee, getting up out of the caramel wooden chair to meet Pilar in the doorway. "I'm in the kitchen." I say, keeping my voice low as Pilar enters, a smile spreading across her face. She was wearing a skin tight beige dress, black heels, a purse on her arm and papers in her hand. My heart skips a beat when I see the papers. I forget about everything that had just happened. It was time.
"Here you go! Oh my, this is so exciting!" She exclaimed, laying the papers down on the marbled counter. I knew what the papers were; Sergio's shared custody to me. I gave her a smile, and she leaned into my cheek, leaving a kiss. "I'm so happy." She says, laying down her purse on the kitchen table. I grab the papers, skimming through them, then dropping them onto the table. I pick up the blue pen I was earlier clicking, to sign the bottom, officially allowing me to have custody of Sergio Junior Ramos Rubio. Pilar believed this was the start of something new, but to me it was a chance to start a new life with my son. Him only, as Pilar was odd and made awful decisions. Abruptly, stomping is heard from upstairs, and Pilar and I give each other a look; the 'Sergio is awake' look. She groans, "It's my turn to get him?", putting a hand on her hip. I nod, smiling and she annoyingly leaves the kitchen. I was basically being forced to live with her as long as I want to see my son. And I don't really mind it.
~• marina's point of view :
"Two tickets for Barcelona, first class please." He says, and the lady slides the tickets.
He hands over his credit card, giving the attendant a heartfelt smile.
"To new beginnings, right?" He tells me.
"New beginnings."xx, tvrres 💍
