it might be because I'm old as dirt but i don't get why everybody and their mama has to put in trigger warnings. nevermind i kind of get that many people right now are delicate little flowers and are upset so easily. the warnings that an author puts in the very first page along with the brief description should be enough if you can't deal with something that the writer thinks will upset you i don't think there is a reason to continue reading but you get an author that knows people will read and get upset so they are kind enough to let you know what's gonna happen so people like me who aren't fazed by these things go into the chapter without that element of surprise. i would like to point out that even tv shows have warnings and such mostly its the ratings such as G, PG13,R,and M some even tell you in a sentence that yes there may be gore or violence the same as video games. now i would like to say that until i got on this app I've never in my 38 years of life picked up a book and recieved a warning about it being age appropriate or violent or any kind of self harm or anything if you aren't able to handle such things you either skim through it or deal with it.

also there are warnings that I've seen explaining everything in the chapter just in case someone wanted to skip which should have just been the chapter because they explained everything but the details.
