just me ranting

my rant on the abortion laws being passed

I'm well aware that my opinion doesn't matter on this but I still want to give it.  It's not up to politicians to decide what you can do with your body but I also think that abortion is wrong. I think the only time abortion should be allowed are if the baby is a product of rape but the doctor performing the procedure or anybody else that is sticking their nose into others business should not be able to ask for proof and work off of the honor system I say that because alot of times rape is not reported for whatever reasons that victim holds and I don't think a woman should have to do anything extra to prove that she was raped and will be stuck with a reminder of that if she was scared to report it. Also I think if a pregnancy will cause harm to the mother than she should be given the right to abort the baby for the sake of her health.  One of the stricter laws will not let a baby be aborted after 6 weeks which if you're using one of the two exceptions that I've listed is ridiculous because odds are it's already two or three months in before you even notice that something is different the symptoms don't magically show up the next day it takes at least 2 months. And when I was pregnant I was given the option to have the amniotic fluid checked to see if the baby had any type of problems or illness so that I could take that info into consideration and decide whether I wanted to continue with the pregnancy that was months into the pregnancy I chose not to cause it didn't matter to me.
Ok now let me tell you why I feel this way out of the box I think abortion is wrong. I feel like if you feel like you are ready to have sex regardless of whether or not you are in a serious relationship or just sleeping around than you should also be able to use birth control pills and condoms and even the morning after pill. I know that many people are not ready to bring a baby into their life but if you are out there putting yourself out there and not taking the precautions to prevent pregnancy than if it happens I think that adoption is a better option than abortion find a wonderful gay couple that want their own baby and let them help out during your pregnancy and give them the gift of a newborn baby.  I also know that there are women out there who don't want to experience the body changes that happen during pregnancy but I also think that if you are able to have sex and in America I'm pretty sure that you know about birth control methods and the other consequences of sex without protection such as an std  or an sti or pregnancy than yes you should have to deal with the consequences currently a pregnancy is easier to get rid of than the infection or the disease.  
Sorry I know that this is just my opinion on the topic and I also acknowledge that it's not my or anyone else's right to tell anyone what they can and cannot do with their bodies. I've got two wonderful children that I never knew I wanted until I found out that I was having because I liked drinking and having fun and didn't make good decisions but I wouldn't trade them for anything except maybe a puppy they don't talk back and will show they love you everyday and can't tell you how much they hate you so forth and so on blah blah blah.
