I've read many great stories on here and yes i am guilty of not voting mainly on the books that I've found that already have multiple chapters or are completed. Most times I am already looking forward to the next chapter that voting does not even occur to me. Lately I've noticed how some authors are holding the next chapter hostage if they don't recieve a certain number of votes and comments, it's possible that I was going to vote or comment due to thinking that yes this was a good chapter and I was looking forward to the next chapter and felt that the author should know that I thought so until the next chapter is being held hostage.
The first time this happened I just ignored it hoping that either enough people paid the ransome or the chapter was released anyways, of course again on the next chapter a higher demand was issued and I imagine that others felt the same and over the course of a few chapters decided in not voting or commenting as updates have not been posted in these books. if these authors want the recognition that badly why can't they remind us to vote if we enjoyed the chapter or ask a question and get comments. anyways that's the rant if you read this and agree or disagree feel free to let me know even tho I'm pretty sure I'm writing for myself anyways.
