"Wait here." A young doctor tells Steve.
"Is there a problem?" Magdalen asks
"Just wait here." The doctor says while walking out of the examination room.
Steve looks at a sign warning against lying on your enlistment form and starts to get ready to leave. An Enlistment office MP walks in the room, Steve and Magdalen look up at him worriedly. Two other people walk into the room as the Enlistment office MP quietly leaves.
"Thank you." Dr Abraham Erskine tells the Enlistment office MP. Then looks at Steve and Magdalen.
"So, you want to go overseas and kill some Nazis." Dr Amelia Erskine says.
"Excuse me?" Seve and Magdalen ask
"Dr Amelia Erskine. And this is my father Dr Abraham Erskine." Amelia says walking over to the siblings.
"We represent the Strategic Scientific Reserve," Amelia informs.
"Steve Rogers, this is my sister Magdalen Rogers." Steve introduces him and Maggy while Abraham starts looking through Steve's file.

"Where are you from?" Magdalen asks suspiciously.
"Queens. 73rd Street and Utopia Parkway." Abraham says still looking at the file.
"Before that, Germany. This troubles you?" Amelia asks looking at Steve and Magdalen.
"No," Magdalen says shaking her head.
Abraham hands the file to his daughter.
"Where are you from, Mr Rogers? Mmm? Is it New Haven? Or Paramus? Five exams five different cities." Abraham asks knowingly.

"That might be the wrong file," Steve says carefully.
"No, it's not the exams we're interested in. It's the five tries. But you didn't answer the question. Do you want to kill Nazis?" Amelia asks testing him.
"Is this a test?" Steve and Magdalen ask.
"Yes," Amelia says quickly.
"I don't wanna kill anyone. I don't like bullies. I don't care where therefrom." Steve says truthfully. Making Amelia smile.
"Well, there are already so many big men fighting this war. Maybe what we need is the little guy, huh? I can offer you a chance." Abraham states as they exit the room.

"Only a chance," Amelia says
"I'll take it," Steve says smiling.
"Good. so where is the little guy from?" Abraham asks.
"Brooklyn," Steve says simply.
"Congratulations, soldiers," Amelia says stamping two pieces of paper and handing it to Steve and Magdalen.
"Wait. I'm sorry. What? Soldiers? Plural?"
Magdalen asks confused.
" You want to stay with your brother. Yes?" Amelia asks already knowing the answer.
"Yes. But I can't be a soldier." Magdalen says.
"And why is that?" Amelia asks.
"Well...well because I'm a woman," Magdalen says sadly. Amelia smiles at her.
"If I can be a Doctor, you can be a soldier," Amelia says handing her the paper again.

In a HYDRA lab in a very mountainous region.

"Are you ready, Dr Zola?" Schmidt asks a man in a lab coat.
"My machine requires the most delicate calibration. Forgive me if I seem overcautious." Dr Zola informs.
"And are you certain that those conductors of yours can withstand the energy surge long enough for a transference?" Schmidt asks.
"With this artefact, I am certain of nothing. I fear it may not work at all." Dr Zola says worriedly. Schmidt walks over to a machine and inserts the Tesseract careful into the machine. Dr Zola starts the machine up.
"Twenty per cent. Forty. Sixty. Stabilizing at 70%" Dr Zola states. Schmidt walks over to where Dr Zola iI and takes over the controls.
"I have not come all this way for safety, Doctor," Schmidt tells Dr Zola, as he turns the controls up to maximum and blue light filters through the room.

"What is that?" Dr Zola asks after successfully collecting the power from the glowing Tesseract using Dr Zola's machine.
"I must congratulate you, Arnim. Your designs do not disappoint. Though they may require some slight reinforcement." Schmidt says congratulating Dr Zola.
"The exchange is stable. Amazing! The energy we have just collected could power my design, all my designs. This will change the war." Dr Zola says with awe.
"Dr Zola, this will change the world." Schmidt corrected.
