Chapter 14

Schmidt and Dr. Zola are in an elevator.
"Sir? Are we going to the roof?" Zola asks. The doors open to reveal a One-man-plane. Zola looks at Schmidt.
"What about me? Where will I sit?" Zola asks confused. Schmidt holds out his car keys and gives it to Zola.
"Not a scratch, Doctor. Not a scratch." Schmidt says as he gets into the plane and flys off as Dr. Zola escapes in Schmidt's car.

With the others.

Steve, Amelia, Maggy and Bucky are by the catwalk, beneath them everything is on fire, they have to reach the other side of the room over a thin gantry.
"Let's go. One at a time." Steve tells them. Bucky and Magdalen reach the other side safely, but the gantry collapses behind them.
"Gotta be a rope or something!" Bucky yells.

"Just go! Get out of here!" Steve and Amelia yell.
"No not without you guys!" Bucky and Magdalen yell back.
Steve looks at Amelia.
"We gotta jump." Steve tells her.
"What?! Are you crazy!? We can't make that!" Amelia shouts.
"We gotta try!" Steve exclaims. Then grabs her hand and looks at her.
"On three." Steve tells her she nods.
"1. 2. 3!" Steve yells then they jump to the other side, making it safely across.
"That was crazy!" Amelia exclaims as they finally make it out of the burning factory.

At the army camp.

Senator Brandt, I regret to report that Captain Steven G. Rogers, Sergeant Magdalen K. Rogers and Dr. Amelia R. Erskine went missing behind enemy lines on the third. Aerial reconnaissance has proven unfruitful. As a result, I must declare Captain Rogers killed in action. Period." Phillips says as someone writes what he's saying down.
"The last surveillance flight is back. No sign of activity." Peggy informs Phillips sadly.

"Go get a cup of coffee, Corporal." Phillips tells the man beside him.
"Yes, sir." He says Then leaves.
"I can't touch Stark. He's rich and he's the Army's number one weapons contractor. You are neither one." Phillips tells her
"With respect, sir, I don't regret my actions. And I don't think Captain Rogers,Sergeant Rogers or Dr Erskine did either." Peggy says.
"What makes you think I give a damn about your opinions. I took a chance with you, Agent Carter. And now America's golden boy and girl are dead along with a good Doctor and a lot of other good men, cause you had a crush." Phillips says angrily
"It wasn't that. I had faith" Peggy tells him confidently.

"Well, I hope that's a big comfort to you when they shut this division down." Phillips says frustrated. Then soldiers start running and talking excitedly
"What the hell is going on out there?" Phillips asks no one in particular as he and Peggy start to follow the crowd to the edge of the camp where Steve, Magdalen and Amelia are arriving with the freed prisoners.
"Look who it is!" A soldier yells as everyone cheers.

Steve, Amelia and Magdalen salute to Phillips.
"Some of these men need medical attention." Amelia explains.
"Medic, we got wounded." A soldier says to a medic.
"Right over here." The medic says.
"We'd like to surrender ourselves for disciplinary action." Steve tells Phillips.
"That won't be necessary." Phillips informs him.
"Yes, sir." They day at the same time.
Phillips turn and starts to walk away from them, he stops by Peggy.
"Faith, huh?" He asks her, then starts to walk away again.

"You're late." Peggy tells Amelia.
"We couldn't call our ride." Amelia says as Steve holds up the broken transponder.
"Let's hear it for Captain and Sergeant America!" Bucky shouts at all the soldiers. They all cheer. Then Bucky looks at Amelia.
"Oh, and Dr. Erskine!" Bucky shouts again making everyone cheer and laugh, including Amelia.
