Chapter 15

Somewhere in America.

Senator Brandt is speaking to a small crowd.
"I am honoured to present this medal for valour to my personal friend, Captain and Sergeant America!" Brant says waiting for Steve and Magdalen to come out, but they don't. "Captain and Sergeant America!" Brandt says again looking behind him, but still nothing. "Captian! Sergeant! That's your cue!" He shouts. His aide comes out and whispers something in his ear.

"I thought he'd be taller. And I thought there was a girl." A General says quickly to the man sitting next to him. Misunderstanding the aide to be Steve

Allied HQ in London.

"The fifth one was here in Poland, right near the Baltic." Steve says as he marks it on the map.
"And the sixth one was... about here, 30, 40 miles west of the Maginot Line." Magdalen says also marking the map.
A soldier takes the map and walks away.
"We just got a quick look." Steve tells Peggy.
"Well nobody's perfect." Peggy reassures them as they walk over to Philips and Amelia.

"These are the weapon factories we know about. Sergeant Barnes said that Hydra shipped all the parts to another facility that isn't on this map." Amelia explains.
"Agent Carter, coordinate with MI6. I want every Allied eyeball looking for that main Hydra base." Phillips orders.
"What about us?" Peggy questions.
"We are gonna set a fire under Johann Schmidt's ass. What do you say, Rogers? It's your map, you think you can wipe Hydra off of it?" Phillips asks Steve and Magdalen.
"Yes, sir. We'll need a team." Steve says.

"We're all ready putting together the best men." Phillips tells Steve.
"With all do respect, sir. So are we." Magdalen informs.

At a bar.

"So, let's get this straight." Dumdum Dogan begins
We barely got out of there alive, and you both want us to go back?" Gabe Jones continues Dogans question.
"Pretty much." Steve says simply
"Sounds rather fun, actually." Falsworth says
"I'm in." Morita says after he belches.

Dernier and Gabe are speaking French. Gabe says something and Dernier laughs, then they shake hands "We're in." They say at the same time.
"Hell, I'll always fight. But you got to do one thing for me." Dogan tells Steve and Magdalen.
"What's that?" Maggy asks.
"Open a tap." Dogen says smiling.
"Well, that was easy." Morita says laughing.
Steve stands up and walks over to the bar.
"Another round" Steve says to the barkeeper.
"Where are they putting all this stuff?" The barkeeper questions before turning around to get their drinks.

Later.

Steve and Magdalen join Bucky at the barcounter. Everyone else is at a table singing "There's a Tavern in Town".
"See? I told you. They're all idiots." Bucky tells them.
"How about you? You ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of death?" Steve asks Bucky.
"Hey! I'm here too!" Magdalen shouts.
"Oh, right. And Maggy." Steve says smiling. Magdalen rolls her eyes.

"Hell, no. That little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him. But you both keeping the outfit, right?" Bucky questions.
"You know what? It's kind growing on us." Maggy says smiling. The singing in the bar stops as Amelia, in a light purple dress, and Peggy,
in a form fitting red dress walk in and over to Steve, Magdalen and Bucky.

"Captain, Ms. Rogers." Amelia says simply.
"Wait, I thought we were on a first names?" Magdalen asks but is ignored.
"Agent carter, Amelia." Steve says.
"Ma'am." Bucky says nodding his head as a way to say hello.
"Howard has some equipment for you to try. Tomorrow morning?" Amelia asks Steve and Magdalen.
"Sounds good." They say at the same time.

"I see you top squad is prepping for duty." Peggy says as she and Amelia look over to where the other men are. "You both don't like music?" Bucky asks.
"We do, actually. We might even, when this is all over, go dancing." Amelia says with a small smile on her face.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Bucky asks.
"Not you." Amelia sasses.
"The right partner." Peggy says as she starts to walk out of the bar "0800, Captain, Ms. Rogers." Amelia says.
"Yes, ma'm. I'll be there."  Steve says, smiling at her as she leaves.

"I'm invisible. I'm...I'm turning into you. It's like some horrible dream." Bucky says referring to being rejected by Amelia and Peggy about going dancing.
"Don't take it so hard. Maybe they've got a friend." Steve tells Bucky.
