I walk around NYC like Magnus advised me to do, but I haven't gotten anymore memory glimpses yet. I've tried my best to steer clear of everyone, but I'm not sure how long that will last though. I've decided that instead of searching through parts of the city that I haven't really been to, but to search the parts of the city that I most frequent. I know it's risky, but it's a risk I'm willing to take and it's one I have to.

I walk through the park, I haven't been here lately but that could all change here in a minute or two. After walking through the majority of the park I sit at the base of a tree and relax. You would expect the park to be busy today with it being Friday but I haven't really seen any people on my way here. I sigh and close my eyes.

"Isn't the park beautiful in the spring?" I hear someone ask beside me.

I flash open my eyes and look for the person. My eyes fall to the transparent figure right beside me... it's the boy from earlier.

"The park is pretty during the spring, but it has a tendency to be busy," I hear another voice from behind me.

I turn around and I see a transparent version of me laying at the base of the tree, just where I was. This is another memory, and from the looks of things this one happened after the first one.

"You get used to it after awhile," past me tells the boy.

"I suppose so, I mean, haven't you lived here all your life?" he asks the past me.

"As far back as I can remember," past me simply tells him.

They sit like this for a good few moments, me along with them. I'm sure that there's at least one person who's walked past me and has given me weird looks.

I suddenly hear a growling come from behind me and all three of our heads snap towards the sound. The past me and I both stand up and investigate the sound. I kind of jump when a Drevak demon comes squirming towards me. It stops ten feet away from me, deciding whether it should try to attack me or not. I pull out my seraph blade and it seems that the past me does the same thing. We both even name our blades the same. I study the Drevak closer and I laugh at myself when I notice that the demon is from the past. I put my seraph blade away and step away to watch how this plays out.

"What the hell is that thing?" The boy asks past me, but she remains silent.

She walks closer to the demon, but the demon backs away in what seems to be fright. But why would a demon be frightened? The demon, probably realizing that it's not going to be able to get out of this runs full tilt at the past me. She steps out of the way and smashes her blade into the middle of the Drevak's back and slices open its back. Thick, black liquid oozes out it's back right before it folds in on itself, going back to one of the demon realms.

"Clary, what the hell was that?" the boy asks past me again, this time standing up and starts walking towards her.

Past me is opens to mouth but not words come out. She looks away from him instead. He's about to say something else but someone else's heavy footfalls are heard coming towards us. I look at the person and I see that it's Jace.

My heart aches and my stomach flips as it dawns on me that the last time I saw him was before I ran off and got kidnapped. He had scolded me for rushing off into danger like they told me not to, and it wasn't out of hate but because he cared about me and didn't want to see me get hurt again. I take note that he's breathing heavily and is drenched in sweat. The mid-day sun makes the runes that decorate his arms stand out.

"I've been looking everyone for you," Jace says to past me. He finally notices that it's not just him and past me here. He gestures at the boy, "who's this?"
