Lanre arrived home. Panicking and hearing his heart thumping from his chest, he rushed upstairs. As he drew closer to his apartment, he saw the door left wide open. He walked in to see the apartment in a mess. The broken glass, the vase, the remote and the broken phone were lying around.

He scanned around confused and devastated. His thoughts began to wander as to where Nnenne could've been taken and most importantly who took her. As he paced back and forth he felt something under his foot. He lifted his sole to see a white hand kerchief.

He lowered and picked it up. He sniffed it and smelt a chemical. His fist squeezed, suffocating the hand-kerchief as his imaginations ran wild. It was as though he was watching them take her away and he couldn't do anything about it.

Filled with rage, like a boiling volcano. He picked up a glass and threw against the wall. He ran his fingers threw his hair and tried to think of ways to get Nnenne back.

"Tsk! tsk! tsk! tsk!"
"Now don't be so hard on yourself. You underestimated who you were dealing with" he heard from the background.

He knew this voice all to well. The soft but dangerous tone, he recognized. Trying to control himself, he refused to turn around. He knew he would do something dangerous if he took a glimpse of her face.

He heard the clack of her heels against the floor as she draw closer to him.
"You guys thought you had it all figured out didn't you?" she mocked.
"You were going to send me to jail. You forgot so quickly that Adaeze doesn't give up that easily" she reminded, as she robbed his shoulders from the back and stood in front of him.
"I always get what I want" she smirked, maliciously.

Lanre looked at her, his brows pulled together in a scowl. He was trying to figure out how she knew about all of this. Adaeze could read him perfectly.

"Apart from wanting to know where she is, I'm sure you're probably trying to put the pieces together as to how I could catch you so easily" she said.
"Well you guys had a great plan, I should say. I'm impressed" she praised with the corners of her mouth turned downward.

"But one mistake you lots made was to speak about it out in the open. If one of my girls didn't overhear you. I'm pretty sure, the police would be in my house by now. So kudos for that one."
"Great plan!" She remarked, sarcastically.

"Where is she?" He asked, his voice gravelly and his teeth held tight together.
"She's where I've always wanted her to be"
"Where is she Adaeze?!" He repeated, deadness clouded his eyes.
"She's not dead if that what you're thinking. I can't kill her just yet. I would have to make her life miserable first"
"Adaeze! Where the hell is she?!" He yelled.

Adaeze decided to scare him a little, seeing him in pain and anger made her feel so much better.

"Let's just say she's on her way to meet a client of mine. She already joined the business when she went to meet the first client. So she might as well finish the job. But keep your fingers crossed and hope when she comes out this time, she's able to walk."

His eyes squinted as veins popped out of his forehead. His vision blurred as the flames already boiling in his stomach crawled up to his chest. His fingers folded into a tight fist. And he pressed his teeth hard, trying to control himself.

"That's only possible if she remains a good girl tho"
"I mean you wouldn't want to end up with a cripple" she gave a nonchalant shrug.

He had had it to his neck at this point. He went at her, grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the wall.

"Damn! You're hot when you're mad" she mentioned, looking at him, longingly.

He raised his fist. Unable to control himself and blinded by his rage, he was about to plant one hard blow on her jaw.
