Notes: This chapter was requested and i'm sorry it took so long but i am truly busy and still trying to keep up with all the requests i get. I try to write them down in the order i get but some, like this one get lost. I dubbed it a short because it didn't reach my average word count. I'm sorry if there's typos and stuff at this point im on autopilot generally tired so if i miss something i'm writing half awake sorry. Trying my best -Eira

Warning: This chapter highlights Loki's genderfluid- ness because they do shape shift into a girl. This is a child pov fic where reader and the brothers are all children. It's quite wholesome and pure if i say so myself so is the shape-shifting in it's context as well. Don't insinuate. If this isn't your cup of tea don't read it.

"Okay, I'm the hero, (Name) is the princess and Loki's the monster I slay got it?" A young Thor demanded as he stood gallantly on a rock.

Thor and Loki were your best friends to no end. After your parent's died defending Asgard as standing generals you were welcomed into the royal family with open arms. You didn't have any other family to live with and the queen was kind enough to accept you into their home and raise you along side Loki and Thor after the incident.

You liked to play with them both but Loki and you always clicked. You always read together and held hands everywhere. Loki said it was a spell of protection so that nothing bad would ever happen to you or him. But looking back he might have made that up because you were still scared of the dark and still had frequent nightmares about the monsters that killed your parent.

Frost giants.

Thor didn't like to read or put on plays for Frigga and Odin like you and Loki did, he liked playing outside games more than anything. Loki was a sickly child and very breakable, in despite of his health he tried to keep up with you and Thor best he could. You knew it made him sad when he couldn't play with both of you or when he was overexerted and tired faster than most. That was the main reason you would invent new games to play inside with the brothers so everyone was happy.

"I don't want to be the princess again she's not as fun." You complained rolling on the grass.

Loki looked deep in thought before he grabbed your hand lightly. "I'll be the princess you be the monster."

You and Thor exchanged a look before you both fell out laughing at Loki. Thor slipped off his rock and you squealed without letting go of Loki's hand. When you finally stopped the giggles and laughter Loki was staring at your hand looking strange.

"Loki you can't be the princess you're not a girl." Thor sighed and crawled back on the big rock.

"Can too."
