"Hey Gracie." My friend Michael smiled as he picked me up. I smiled back at him greeting him back by his own middle name that made him cringe.
"Lawrence. How are you?"
"Stop." He warned, driving over to our other friends house that had the rest of our trouble gang getting ready. "Hey Gracie." Amber smiled at me as she piled in, sitting in the third row with her boyfriend, also my friend, Danny. Olivia, who isn't apart of our crew, was into Michael but wouldn't dare admit it which leads us to our other two dweebs Nessa and Alex. Lovers since kindergarten like Amber and Danny.
"So, ready to get fucked up?" Nessa asked, handing us all edibles which we popped into our mouths immediately, even Michael who shot me a wink when he did. His hand rested on mine, we were a thing for a while but I decided it was best not to ignite something since he was my oldest friend and he's fine with that. We're fine, no emotions at all now on my part but we just enjoy the company of eachother since the rest of our group is dating eachother.
I felt the effects as we got out the SUV and entered the football game after buying our bands. I was skipping to the beat of the music playing from the band as we took our seats on the concrete slabs in the middle field.
"Hey Leslie!" I heard a few people shout, I turned to see a group of guys from my Geometry class looking over at me from the top. "Hi!" I squealed happily as I was lead by Danny and Alex to our seats. I laid back since there was enough room and watched the cheerleaders from the opposing school, Westmount, dance. Tragic that our schools rivals were going to spew over into our school due to overpopulation of the school demanded by the board of education meaning our school would gain and extra 200 people to jolt us to an astounding 900 roughly.
"Your brother will kill us if we let you talk to any guys other than us." They warned, handing me a cup of fruit, my favorite food ever, from their bag of goodies. I began eating my munchies away, feeling myself float freely as we cheered on my school, North Shore, while high on edibles.
"Go Josh! Woo!" I cheered, he shot me a grin, frowning when he saw what I was wearing. He shot me a glare, motioning he was watching me which ultimately ended in me shoving a spoon full of fruit in my mouth making him laugh and shake his head.
"Hey girl." Marissa, Josh's girlfriend, kissed my cheek when she joined us. "Hey girl." I smiled as I hugged her. "How we doing? I went to pee and lost the other girls." "We're up by 21 our ball. We just need one more touchdown and we'll be going to champs." I explained, leaning back to eat some sour straws.
"Come on Joshua!" I screamed out, cheering my brother on as he tackled the guy trying to sack him, running past to the 50 yard line, then the 40, 30, 20 all the way home making the entire side of our school erupt in cheers and screams. We were going to the championships!
"That's right!" Marissa yelled happily and we all hugged eachother. We walked to meet the football players at the end of the field, bumping into a few Westmount kids who hit on me but I ignored them completely.
"Hey! Louis man? What happened?" Alex asked a tall brown haired boy with blue eyes, Westmount boy, as his group of 5 arrived over. The tall green eyed guy kept his eyes trained on me.
"Hi Leslie!" A few girls said to me and I smiled, waving at them. "Hi." I didn't know their names but I was always nice to everyone, Josh was different.
"Hey, we're going to grab pizza, you in or out?" Josh asked with his arm around Marissa, drenched in sweat. "I'm good. We're going to catch a quick movie." I kept my distance from him cause I knew what he was going to do.
"You sure, it'll be fun." Griffin asked with a sly grin, Josh pushed him away from me. "I'm good. I promise, it sounds really nice but I already have plans." I poked my bottom lip out and he reciprocate my face, pushing Josh back.
"And here I thought we were going to have a good night but I guess it'll be average without the most beautiful girl in town." He winked, earning Josh's glare. "Get the fuck out of here before I kill you." He growled and Griffin shot me a grin as he went to join the rest of the team.
"But seriously, you don't want to come?" He asked and I nodded, he narrowed his eyes at me.
"Your eyes are puffy, you've been crying. We'll talk about this later." He warned me as he jogged off to meet up with the rest of the guys.
"You should've told him you're just high." Amber teased and I rolled my eyes at her. The guys were just laughing at her. "We gotta go do English!" Alex screamed as he realized, I laughed.
"I already did it for you guys cause I knew you would all forget so. Your welcome, you're doing my Stats for the rest of the week." I warned as we walked to our car with Alex's friends trailing with us.
"God we love you." Danny hugged me, throwing me over his shoulder making me squeal as he threw me onto the balloon bed they had made earlier in the game.
"What if they would've popped you idiot!" The blonde of Alex's Westmount friends screamed, helping me to my feet. "You alright love?" He asked, inspecting me. I nodded with a smile.
"Yes, of course. They always do dumb things like that." I said before sprinting to the car as I saw Nessa and Amber holding the water bucket.
"Michael open!" I screamed, jumbling with the locks to get in to avoid getting wet. He was joining me in our sprint which ended in the two high idiots spilling it on the windshield since we were inside, safe. Fuck that guy was hot and he was still staring back at us from his position across the lot.
