"Hey darling." Harry showed up to my house when I did. I smiled and pulled him in.
"How'd it go?"
"He said he's cool with it."
"But?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as I opened my front door.
"If you make me cry, even one tear, you'll be in the hospital." "I expect nothing less." He smirked and I was halfway up the stairs when he tapped my side after greeting my mom who screamed her hellos from the kitchen
"Oh wait. I want to run it past your mom."
"Run what?"
"Me wanting to date you. I'll be right back. Go take a shower." He said and I tilted my head, shaking it no. He rolled his eyes, pointing upstairs as he walked downstairs.
"Hey, Ms. Ibarra."
"Alice." I heard my mom say as I sat on the top of the stairs, listening to him.
"Hi Alice." He corrected himself. "What can I do for you, Harry?" "I wanted to ask your permission to date your daughter with the intent of being her boyfriend." "Now, Harry. You know I love my daughter. Her happiness is everything to me. Joshua is an issue."
"Leslie talked to him, he's fine with us dating but I honestly didn't care for his input. Leslie did so I was okay with her asking for it when I was going to have this conversation with you because you're her parent and your blessing is the one I want." I could honestly feel my mother grinning as my heart melted into a puddle as my hands touched the skin over it.
"Does Joshua not scare you like he does the other boys?"
"No, I'm not intimidated by him. I know what he's doing because I have a sister and would do the same to any boy who tried to hurt her." Interesting, a sister?
"Well, you have my blessing as long as she's happy."
"Thank you." I walked into my room, leaving it opened slightly before slipping into the shower after getting some clothes together. I got out to see Harry sprawled out on my bed with a huge smile on his face.
"I know you were listening you dweeb." He pointed a finger to me making me laugh, laying next to him. "I thought it was sweet. It really did make me happy." I smiled at him as I cuddled into his chest.
"Well, I'm not stupid. I know how to properly ask a girl out. I have a sister and I made her boyfriends ask me if they could date her. I look older but I'm younger than her so." He shrugged and I smiled.
"I think that's cute." I was sore as I got up, grimacing in pain. "Sore?" He asked and I nodded, blow drying my hair before putting it into a ponytail.
"Grace! Mom said you had a boyfriend! Who the fuck!" I heard my sister and her husband yell bursting into my room and squealed when they saw Harry.
"He's cute!" Maricela said and sat on the bed.
"Isn't he from the other night?"
"Yes." I yawned and they talked to Harry who laughed at me. "Wait, why are you so groggy?" "She ran a mile in 3 minutes and had volleyball practice which I'm guessing made her run another 3. So she's exhausted." "Sore. And it was 5 miles." I corrected and he widened his eyes.
"Impressive. No wonder you're in shape." Martin said with his eyes wide.
"Harry, this is my nephew Christian. Christian this is Harry." I said as Christian came in and hugged me, waving at Harry.
"Where's Emma?" I asked and they pointed downstairs and I lead Harry downstairs and squealed when I saw my niece on the floor in the living room from the stairs.
"Emma." I called and she looked up, big blue eyes staring up at me and her pacifier moved quickly meaning she was excited to see me. She waved her hands up and down as she got up, walking to meet me halfway. I squatted down to hug her, carrying her up to meet me.
"Hi my baby." I giggled, kissing her nose. She laughed, nuzzling her head into my neck as she hugged me.
"Harry, this little cutie is Emma. Em, say hi." I patted her booty and she waved at Harry who put one hand on my waist, the other played with Emma's hand that wrapped around one of his fingers.
"Hi Emma." Harry cooed and Emma squealed in excitement, nearly shaking Harry's finger to death. I handed Harry the baby before paying attention to Christian who was telling me about his play.
"Well, we gotta go. Come on, we're going to be late." My mom said looking at her phone. I widened my eyes, the game starts at 6:30 and it was already 6.
"I'm riding with Harry." I yawned and my mom smirked. "Of course you are." She winked at us making me blush, hiding in Harry's chest as he gave Martin the baby and we all piled to our different cars, my mom driving herself because she had a shift to pick up after the game.
"Where am I going?"
"We're going to Lion Park." I intertwined my hand in Harry's as he set his hand on my bare thigh. I was wearing jean short with a white Ibarra jersey crop top and my infamous white vans. It was Theo's number on the back, 12, with the red cardinal over the heart since he played for the Cardinals.
"Are you sure your family is going to be okay with me going?"
"Yeah." I nodded, leaning into Harry as we walked with his arm around my waist. We walked over to where my family was on the stands, my mom filling my brothers in on who Harry was.
"This is the boyfriend?" Nick asked and I nodded with my lips pressed together.
"If he can handle the other night I like him." Derek said holding his hand out and introduced himself and his fiance Chrissy who carried Santiago. Nick followed in suit making Harry let go of my waist to shake Nick and Diane's hands and say hi to Leo.
"Does Josh know."
"Yes I do. Wassup man, hurt her and I'll feed your balls to the wolves." Josh came over, bro-hugging Harry who laughed but nodded.
God, please let this relationship go right.
