The Trials of Mortal Existence
Mortal existence pained, agonizing
Like the slow suffocation of drowning
I wished for nothing more than eternal release, of escape from a harsh world void of love, of
peace
Righteousness forged from the blood of souls doomed to suffer Lost the cruelest oblivion
Casualties of trivial hatred and mortal greed
I want no more
Cast me off
Send me away to lands where men do not reign
And if there be none,
Leave me
Let my body be claimed by the earth from which I came
Prince of an earthen kingdom more powerful than man
Brutal and ferocious, delicate and tranquil
Man cannot conquer this
Not by gun, nor, sword, nor fire-burn,
Earth always to rise
Oh love
I've lived the life of a thousand
Made mess of lives, of love
Until the day I met you,
I had never seen the sun rise
Today, it burns brighter than ever
And it never sets
