Abandoned, under the sky..
She lay there frozen,
Bruised, battered and broken,
in a frenzy mess, a delicate girl..
She slowly tried
to open her heavy lids,
burning tears about to fall.
The pitch black darkness
blinded her eyes,
hitched her breath,
troubled her heart..
She then sat upright,
ready to fight,
with all her might,
against every single monster;
all over again..
She staggered in
through the dusty floor
covered in mud,sand,dirt and gore;
She felt it slick, under her feet..
A pool of her crimson blood,
now clotting and a bit dry.
The silence was chaotic,
delirious and depressing,
cutting through her perked ears,
jamming in her jumbled head.
Her muffled sobs tried in vain
to break the silence
that numbed her brain..
As she took another loose step,
she fell forward and hurt her head.
It was a stair,
to God knows where;
Braving her fragile soul,
she stumbled and stood
on each crude surface,
to finally reach the top of the stairs.
In front of her, was a dashed up door,
light of the night seeping through;
Now she knew,
A speck of light in the dark worlds
is as precious as a diamond in coals.
She gently pushed the broken wood,
an abyss of the bleak night
welcomed her timid being,
and made her one with the ashen one.
Abandoned, under the sky..
She stood still, on the chilly roof
with an empty mind,a hollow heart;
Above she looked at the endless sky,
the fading moon, the twinkling stars;
Moon consoled, "Fear no more",
Stars assured, "You'll shine bright",
Her troubled soul felt at ease,
for it had found
a little light, a little peace..
