Chapter 7
"It's not great to throw jokes with a face such as yours," I counter-attacked the pale-blonde boy. I was not one to mind about what other people say. "I do not cry, Malfoy. Don't go fooling around. Your brain would be a waste if you do that more and more,"
"And who are you to tell me what to do?" he asked with frustration obvious in his voice. "You're just a transfer,"
"And who are you to even talk to me?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "You're nothing but a low-class ferret,"
"You think that because you're such a famous Gryffindor Princess you could talk to me like that?"
"How could I be famous, Malfoy?" I asked him. "I just transferred here last night,"
"Don't be so humble just because your name's everywhere, Everheart,"
"Like I even care," I rolled my eyes then walked away from him.
Of course, that left me thinking about my status here in Hogwarts. I didn't know that I was now known as the Gryffindor Princess. I was thinking that it would be Hermione's place in this time since she was one of the Golden Trio and all. And I also heard that she's so smart that people thought that she was eating books.
Wait, I wasn't really in this time. Maybe if I was here before, I would be the Gryffindor Princess. No, I would be the Slytherin Princess because of my cruelty.
"Aeribelle!" called Harry.
"Coming!"

I failed so many attempts to get my conversation with Malfoy out of my mind. I didn't want to think how different he was from the present time.
It was like they were identical twins with such different personalities.
Malfoy from the present time was right, if I knew him in this time, I would hate him so much more.
But of course, the real reason of why I was here was because of Professor McGonagall. I honestly didn't know what was going on inside that woman's head.
Was she expecting me to like the Malfoy in the present time because he was now good?
Or was she expecting me to change my ways like how Malfoy did?
I didn't know what triggered Malfoy to change his ways. I hadn't even decided if I would like to stay and figure it out.
"You're spacing out," Hermione pointed out.
"Oh, sorry," I smiled sheepishly at her. "I was just thinking of some things,"
"Like Malfoy?" she asked and I widened my eyes at her.
"How do you know?"
"I saw you talking to him earlier, and of course, I saw you punched the hell out of him. I did it once too, and it was great!" she explained. "Good thing Harry and Ron didn't see you conversing with Malfoy, or else, it would cause such a big commotion and a detention,"
"He's such a pain in the ass,"
"Totally," she nodded. "I don't even know why girls swoon around him. It's obvious that he's our enemy. He's a death eater,"
"How do you know?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
Of course, I almost forgot, this was the time when Malfoy was having a hard time because he was destined to be a death eater. Well, that was what I got from what Dumbledore told me. He told me that Malfoy didn't have a choice in his life because he was already destined to be a death eater.
I didn't know why I was feeling something inside my stomach stir just thinking about Malfoy.
It wasn't a stomach ache. The feeling was like I was having...tingles in my stomach? I couldn't quite explain so I decided to push what I was feeling away.
"Harry said so, and it's Harry," she shrugged. "There are times when I could sense that his hunch is right, and Malfoy being a death eater is one,"
"I just hope that you're right," I lied even though I knew the truth for myself. "But what if you're wrong?"
"Our hatred will just keep on flowing then,"
"I like this attitude of yours," I chuckled. "You're so fierce. I bet Ron will like it too. It will keep those boys lining up for you to stay in place,"
"Ron doesn't like me,"
"Oh please," I rolled my eyes. "You have a mutual relationship and you're just in denial,"
"No, we do not have a relationship!" I would have believed her but the blush on her cheeks gave it all away.
Well, only if love was that easy.

It was already dinner time and everybody was now gathered at the Great Hall. We were currently waiting for our food to magically appear in front of us.
"Malfoy's looking at your direction again," Harry said. "And this time, he's glaring at you,"
"I punched him earlier,"
"W-What?" Ron asked. "You punched Malfoy?"
"It was one hell of a punch," Hermione said proudly. And Hermione told them about how she saw me punched Malfoy square on the face. I didn't know why it was such big deal to them, but I decided not to mention it. I didn't want to hurt their feelings after all.
"Aeribelle Everheart?" a voice called from behind me and saw that it was a young girl. Maybe she was a first year?
"Yes?" I asked.
"Dumbledore wishes to speak with you," she said and I nodded. I nudged for her to go so I could make my way to Dumbledore's office. Of course, the Golden Trio asked what Dumbledore needed from me before I left. I just told them that I didn't know why Dumbledore wanted to talk to me...which was also the truth.
I said the password to his office just as I heard from last night. The doors opened and I saw Dumbledore sitting on his almighty chair. "Aeribelle, so nice for you to drop by,"
"Um..." I trailed off. "You were the one who sent me here,"
"Ah yes, yes," he smiled. I didn't know how Dumbledore's face could be so warm and happy...for someone who knew for himself that he would die. "I actually have a mission for you,"
"A mission?"
"Yes," his smile got wider. "I need you to keep an eye on Mr. Malfoy."
