He ended up getting me out of this horrid forest and I sighed with relief.
"Thanks," I smile at him.
He nodded.
He seemed as if he wasn't very talkative. I noticed Swampert and Blaziken were both talking to Charmander and Treekco even jumped down from his shoulder to talk.
"I heard your screams earlier, so I figured I'd go help. Seems like you get lost easily," He said.
"Hey! I'm not that dense!" I protest.
He smirked and reached in his pocket, then handed me a map. "Anyways, here's a town map. It should be able to help you out whenever you get lost,"
"Thanks,-"
"And here's a map of Mount Moon. You'll definitely need it," He handed me another map.
I put the maps in my bag and his Treecko climbed back on his shoulder. "I'm going to be tracking Team Rocket. I got another person with me who's also doing the same because they're definitely up to no good. See you around, Mika."
He was gone in a flash.
I kinda wished that he stayed to travel with me, but at the same time, it's probably for the best if I do this journey all on my own. I want to prove to my mother that I'm not the weakling she thinks I am. I can handle myself.
With that, I decided I still wouldn't call her.
I realized the Spinarak was still following me out of the forest.
"Don't you need to go home?" I ask.
It moved even closer to me and seemed as if she didn't want to leave.
"You want to come with me?" I ask.
She nodded and I sighed. I guess here's another Pokemon that's on my party, even though I hate bugs.
I threw a Pokeball in her direction and she jumped up eagerly.
I picked the Pokeball back up and put it on my belt.
I finally reached Pewter City and was lost, once again. I gave up on trying to find the gym for now, so I headed for the museum instead to check it out. I saw a huge crowd already and some oddly dressed people.
"It costs 1000 pokedollars to get through, kid," A man said to me who was standing at the door.
I rose an eyebrow at him. "Okay,"
I paid and then walked through the walkway. I observed some items that came from the Fiore and Almia region, then a woman bumped into me.
"Watch it!" She hissed at me.
I gave her an irritated look but didn't say anything. Something seemed off about her though, so I decided to follow her around quietly.
She had a bag full of items and shoved it in a box. The man who charged me to come in was also with her.
"Not that bag!" The woman shouted at him.
"Sorry," The man replied to her.
"Stop messing around! You'll get us caught if you keep it up!" She yelled at him again.
"You're the one yelling," The man replied as if he was irritated with her.
I instantly knew that was Team Rocket. I just didn't know which group it was.
"What are you guys doing?" I ask them, stepping out. The woman turned around and instantly shoved something in her bag.
"Nothing!" She retorted. "This isn't a public show, so scram!"
