"AAAH, OH MY GOD!" Nate ran, hiding behind me.

"Nate, it's just a zubat," I sighed.

He laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Heh, sorry," He sent out a Larvitar. "I'm going to catch this one!"

I stepped out of his way since he got into a battle stance. "Larvitar, use-WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING?!"

The Larvitar woke up, looked at him, and then yawned, going back to sleep. "Why do you never listen to me?" He asked, sulking.

He was about to send Larvitar back and I gave a nod to Charmander.

Charmander stepped in front of him and Nate looked confused now.

"Uh, are you going to catch it, or-"

I gave him a slight glare. "What do you think you're doing giving up? Use my Charmander!"

He smiled and turned back to the zubat.

"Charmander, use...ember!"

Charmander let out flames towards the wild zubat, then waited for Nate to give him another command. "Use scratch!"

Charmander knocked out the zubat and he grabbed a pokeball. He tossed it towards the zubat, staring intently as it wiggled around. Once it stopped, he jumped up in excitement. "I got it! I can't thank you enough, Mika!"

I smiled and Charmander even clapped for him.

"Your Charmander is so cool. I've always wanted one," He complimented. "My dream is to have a team full of dragons,"

"Are you trying to become a dragon tamer?" I ask.

He nodded. "Yes, I think my favorite tamer is Lance. He's so cool,"

I nodded. I didn't want to name-drop Lance, since I wanted to pave my own way. Lance, my step-sister, and my cousin are all well-known dragon tamers. I didn't want to piggyback off of their fame. Not that I cared about fame, but I still wanted to pave my own way.

"I'm sure you'll get there one day. I'm trying to become the Champion of Kanto," I replied. "We should keep going before it gets darker,"

We continued on. The number of zubats we kept running into was irritating. I caught one so I could fill the Pokedex, but I regretted not buying any repels. Larvitar continued to not obey Nate, so I had to explain to him that high-leveled pokemon won't listen if you don't have enough badges.

He understood but thought it was unfair since he hatched it himself.

My clumsy self ran into someone.

"Watch it, kid," A guy grunted at me. He had familiar teal hair, a white lab coat, round glasses, black jeans, and a fake mustache on for some reason.

There was a woman with him too. She had strawberry blonde hair that was in pigtails, a black turtle neck shirt, black jeans, and a white lab coat as well. Something seemed very familiar about them.

Once they started talking, I instantly recognized who they were.

"Well, well," I said, crossing my arms. "If it isn't Cassidy and Butch,"

Butch got in my face comically. "It's Bu-oh, that's what you said,"

Cassidy scowled at him. "Bill! Stop playing around!" She then cast her eyes on me. "God, you're so irritating, twerp,"

Butch started anime crying. "It's not Bill. It's Butch, Butch, Butch!!"

Nate sweat dropped. "Why is Buffy so mad?"
