The weekend comes faster than Scott thought it would. He desperately wants to be able to go outside again without having any fears or having panic attacks. But, he can't even think about going outside without having these negative thoughts in his head, which often lead to his panic attacks.

Scott's been going outside more, whether it be sitting on the porch or in the backyard or even going over to Kirstie's since her house is only a couple minutes away. It helps him prepare for actually going outside.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Scott?" Connie asks worriedly.

"Yes, mom. I'm sure. It's been three months-"

"It's only been three months," Connie argues. "I understand you want things to get back to normal. But, you really should take your time with this. One step at a time."

"I can spend the rest of my life locked up in my bedroom at my parents house, mom. I've been locked up in a room for six years. I wanna be out in the sun, and meet people who don't try to hurt me," Scott snaps. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I just don't want to wait any longer."

"Okay, but don't be so hard on yourself if things go wrong today," Connie says. "We can always try again."

"Okay, can I go now?" Scott asks, fidgeting in his seat.

Connie sighs as she stares at Scott. "Yes. Mitch and Kirstie are waiting for you at the door. Scott?"

"What?" Scott asks, stopping himself from getting out of the car, and looking over at Connie.

"Be careful, please?" Connie asks softly. "This is a lot for me... letting you go out like this on your own after losing you for six years. People know who you are. I just need you to be careful."

Scott's face instantly softens. "I know, mom. I promise I'll be careful. I have my phone with me. I'll call you if I start having a panic attack and you can come get me. Okay?" He says.

Connie smiles. "Thank you. Let me know if you plan on staying or not," she says.

"I will," Scott gets out of the car and shuts the door. He waves to his mom before taking a deep breath, and then making his way to the door. He makes sure to look both ways before crossing. He sighs in relief when he makes it in one piece. He can't help but smile to himself. So far so good. "You can do this, Scott." He jumps when he hears loud laughter coming from behind him, and he sees a group of teenagers right behind him. He gasps and then he quickly makes his way into the building. He rushes over and leans against the wall to calm himself down again

"Scott?"

Scott jumps when he hears someone suddenly call his voice. He looks over and sees Mitch and Kirstie, staring at him with concern in their eyes. Scott takes a deep breath before pushing himself up again.

"Did something happen?" Mitch asks softly, walking over to him.

Scott quickly shakes his head. "No. I-I-" He runs a hand over his face and then sighs, feeling frustrated. "No. I just heard people and panicked. Nothing happened. I'm fine."

Mitch frowns. "You're okay to move forward?" He asks.

Scott nods. "Yeah. I just need a minute to catch my breath. Can you text my mom?" He asks.

"Sure," Mitch pulls out his phone and sends a quick text to Connie, letting her know Scott is okay. "So, maybe we should start somewhere that isn't too crowded."

"Can we get some water first?" Scott asks, looking over at Mitch.

"Sure. We can stop at one of the restaurants and get some water," Mitch nods.
