"This is your old room. Mitch has been staying in it while you've been... away," Connie clears her throat. "But, it's yours if you want it back. I'm sure Mitch will understand if you're not ready to share."
Scott stays silent as he stands in the middle of his bedroom, looking around at everything. It's almost exactly how he left it before he was kidnapped all those years ago, which surprises him a lot.
"Scott?" Connie asks, walking beside him. "Do you want to share with Mitch, or no?"
Scott bites his lip nervously. While it would be nice to have someone for comfort, he's not quite ready, after all the abuse Damien put him through. He has a lot of trust issues, and he's not sure if Mitch is someone that he can trust or not. What if Mitch tries to use him? Or hurt him?
"Um," Scott takes a deep breath. "I-I'm not ready..."
"That's okay, sweetheart" Connie assures him, gently rubbing his arm. "It's your bedroom, and I'm sure Mitch won't mind sleeping in the guest bedroom for a little while until you are ready."
Scott slowly nods. He hesitantly walks over to the bed and sits down.
"You know where we're at if you need anything. You can take a shower if you'd like," Connie tells him. "Just get some much deserved sleep, okay? I'm sure it's been awhile since you've slept in a real bed."
It's true, Scott only got to sleep on a tiny mattress that he could hardly fit on because Damien was expecting to have an Omega, not a six foot tall Alpha. The only times he did get to sleep in a bed, which, still... was hardly ever, was in Damien's bed after Damien was finished with him.
"Goodnight, sweetheart," Connie gently kisses Scott's forehead, and Scott almost wanted to cry then, because it had been so long since he had any form of affection like that.
Scott walks over to the bed and sits down. He just wants to take everything in, try to remember memories. He doesn't want to be broken forever. So, maybe it'll take time. One day he'll be how he used to be.
Scott manages to find some clothes that fit him. He's outgrown a lot of his old clothes, unfortunately.
Scott will have to remember to ask his mom about going shopping. It's been six years, after all.
After taking a rather long shower, Scott finally heads to bed, as it's been a long night and he's exhausted. It takes a long time for Scott to finally be able to get comfortable in bed, and finally fall asleep.
Scott slowly opens his eyes. He stares at the ceiling and frowns, concrete ceiling? This is not-
Scott gasps and sits up. He looks around and realizes that he's not in his bedroom.
It can't be- but, he had gotten rescued. The police came. They promised Damien was going to jail!
Scott looks over as the door opens, and whimpers when he sees Damien, standing in the doorway with an evil smirk on his face. This is not good. Scott's going to be in so much trouble.
"Thought you could escape from me, pet?" Damien asks, walking into the room.
"I'm sorry, Alpha! Please don't hurt me!" Scott cries, covering his face with his arms.
"I'm going to do a lot more than hurt you, little slut-" Damien growls, before harshly grabbing Scott.
"Scott!"
Scott whimpers, and tries to get away from Damien. "Don't touch me! Let me go!"
"Scott! It's okay-" Mitch reaches over and gently shakes Scott until he finally wakes up. "It's okay, Alpha. You're home. You're safe. Nobody's going to hurt you anymore."
Scott looks around, breathing heavily. He's home. He's safe. Damien isn't here anymore.
Mitch gently places his hand on Scott's shoulder. "Alpha, I'm going to get you some water. Just stay here," he quickly runs out of the bedroom. Within' a few minutes, Mitch comes back into the room with water. "Here. Drink this. It will cool you down." He walks over to Scott and hands him the glass of water.
Scott hesitates before taking the water from Mitch, and taking a drink of it.
"That's better," Mitch crawls onto the bed. "You were having a nightmare. I heard you crying."
Scott looks over at him. "Nightmare?" He asks, frowning. "So... this is real. D-Damien..."
"Damien isn't here. He's going to jail for a very long time for hurting you, and all those other Omegas that they kept. Connie talked about getting a restraining order against him, just in case," Mitch tells Scott.
Scott takes a deep breath and leans against the headboard of his bed.
"I can stay, if you'd like me too. If... you don't want to be alone?" Mitch offers.
"I-I would... I would like that," Scott nods, setting the glass of water down.
"I'm sorry you're having nightmares. I've had them before. Nobody should have to have nightmares," Mitch says, scooting closer to Scott. "Nightmares are the worst." He shakes his head.
"I'm sorry that I don't remember you," Scott says, looking over at Mitch. "I wish I could remember you, because... you seem nice. I know you didn't mean to shout earlier. This must be frustrating for you. But, I-I promise that I'm going to try to get better. It won't always be like this."
Mitch frowns. "Scotty, please don't say that. You went through a lot, and I understand that. I couldn't help but be hurt that you didn't remember me, after everything we've been through together. I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. I promise that I won't do it again. You don't have to rush. I'm going to be there for you through thick and thin," he reaches over and hugs Scott. "Because, I love you Scott. No matter what."
Scott tenses at the sudden touch, but quickly relaxes into the hug, thankful to have someone like Mitch. Not everyone wants to hurt him. Some people are nice. He has to realize that not everyone is a Damien.
