"No, no, no. No tinsel." Stiles shook his head shoving the packages back into the bag Lydia had brought.
"But it's shiny," She whined.
"And messy. Derek would freak," Stiles pointed out.
"I can't believe he's letting us decorate at all," Scott said, placing an ornament carefully on the tree.
"He said he wanted to do a pack Christmas this year and we were in charge of it," Stiles gestured between him and Isaac.
"Why you two?" Liam asked.
"Cause we're the most trust worthy," Stiles answered simply.
"Or cause you're sleeping with him and you're his first beta," Theo smirked.
"Derek does have a bad habit of picking favorites," Stiles nodded with a laugh.
At that moment the loft door opened, and Derek walked in with Malia behind him, both carrying grocery bags.
"Last time I go shopping with her," Derek growled.
"Oh stop your whining, you're just mad cause I complained about getting six different juices," Malia huffed.
"We only got three," Derek rolled his eyes.
"We only needed one, but noooo, Stiles likes cranberry juice, Isaac likes orange juice, and Scott likes apple juice," Malia said in a mocking tone.
"You wanted to get cocktail juice," Derek sneered.
"Eww," The pack chorused.
"It has all of them in one," Malia threw her hands up.
"Malia, have you ever cocktail juice?" Kira asked pulling her girlfriend into her.
"No," Malia admitted.
"It tastes like ass," Kira smiled pecking Malia's lips.
"All juice tastes like ass," Malia pouted earning a giggle from Kira.
"What all did you get?" Isaac asked poking into the bags.
"None of your business," Derek swatted Isaac's hand away, "Stuff for Stiles to cook."
Suddenly, Kira, Malia, Lydia and Scott burst out laughing.
"What?" Isaac frowned to see everyone looking at him and Derek.
"Okay who brought the mistletoe?" Stiles huffed snatching the plant from the doorway where it hung above Isaac and Derek.
"Aww come on, it was a joke," Scott laughed.
"It can kill you, dumbass," Stiles snapped throwing the plant in the trash with a roll of his eyes.
"Oh yeah," Scott hummed.
"Put holly up instead, it's what most people do," Stiles sighed. Sometimes he felt like he was managing a bunch of toddlers. Don't eat the glue Scott, bugs belong outside Isaac, stop putting lipstick on your brother Malia.
"You okay?" Derek asked looking at Stiles carefully as the rest of the pack continued to decorate the tree.
"Yeah, I just want this to turn out good, this is everyone's first Christmas together," Stiles shrugged.
Derek smiled at Stiles, "It's gonna be great," Derek placed a kiss on Stiles' temple as he continued to unload the groceries.
"I have a lot of cooking to do," Stiles sighed, looking at all the bags.
"Lydia said she'd help didn't she?" Derek asked putting away cans of cranberry sauce.
"Yeah, that's true," Stiles nodded. He glanced out over the pack. He couldn't shake the weird feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"What's wrong? There's something bothering you," Derek stopped what he was doing and turned to face the brunette.
"This is Malia's first Christmas in...years. Kira has never celebrated Christmas before. Isaac hasn't had a proper Christmas since his mom died. This is your first Christmas without any family. I just want this to be a good one and I have this awful feeling it's something is going to go wrong," Stiles leaned into Derek's chest.
Derek wrapped his arms around Stiles. He hadn't realized how much pressure Stiles was putting on this Christmas.
"Stiles, baby, Kira is just excited to experience her first Christmas. And Malia is glad to be able to celebrate another Christmas. Isaac doesn't have to stress about his dad or anything negative anymore, so he can properly enjoy Christmas again. And I may not have my parents or sisters here, but I have you and the pack. You all are my family. And technically Malia is my cousin," Derek leaned back so he could look at Stiles' face. He ran his thumb along his cheek gently.
"Yeah, you're right," Stiles nodded. Of course Derek was right. Derek was always right.
"And look at it this way, this is everyone's first Christmas as a couple. Scott and Isaac, Malia and Kira, Liam and Theo, you and I," Derek leaned down placing his lips on Stiles' gently.
Stiles kissed back. Derek always knew the right thing to say to Stiles to calm him down.

As it turns out the feeling Stiles had in his stomach had been food poisoning, but he was better just in time for Christmas day.
He watched as the pack spread across the floor of Derek's loft. Stiles and Lydia had cooked a large Christmas dinner and were now drinking spiked eggnog and listening to Christmas music.
"See, I told you there was nothing to worry about," Derek whispered in Stiles' ear.
"You were right, as always," Stiles leaned back into Derek's arms where they were snuggled together on the couch.
"I have one more present for you," Derek said pulling a small box from his pocket. "It's not much, but..." Derek trailed off.
Stiles frowned. He may not have been able to smell emotions like Derek or Isaac, but he knew when the alpha was nervous.
Stiles took the box and opened it carefully. Inside sat a simple key. Stiles looked up at Derek with a frown.
"I thought maybe...I mean you practically live here anyway," Derek's green eyes met Stiles' brown ones.
"You want me to move in with you?" Stiles rose his brows in surprise.
"Only you're comfortable with it. I know we've only been together eight months but..." Derek swallowed hard.
Stiles turned wrapping his arms around Derek's neck and pressing a kiss to the alpha's.
"I'd love nothing more."
Derek relaxed into Stiles.
Stiles couldn't hold back the smile on his face. This Christmas had been better than he thought it would be.
