Dean slammed the door to the hotel room dropping his bag on the floor next to one of the beds.
Cas crossed his arms at Dean with a stern look covering his features.
"I get it, you're mad, I made a snap decision," Dean had to endure Cas' angry silence the whole way back from the meeting with Ezra and Anya, two angels that had been trying to convince Castiel to join them back in heaven.
"A snap decision? That was a stupid decision, Dean," Cas barked, "Anya could smite a small village with the snap of her fingers and you decided to try and kill her."
"She was going to force you to go back to Heaven, Cas. I couldn't allow that," Dean shook his head. He refused to let the angels dictate Cas anymore, not after Naomi.
"They have every right to want me back, I have a lot to answer for. She was just doing her job."
"Look, I'm sorry you don't agree with how I handled things, but It worked out," Dean shrugged.
"I had to convince her that you were just being protective and that she didn't need to kill you. You're lucky she showed mercy. I don't have the sway in heaven that I used to Dean, you can't keep trying to kill every angel that disagrees with me," Cas huffed.
"It's not a big deal," Dean shrugged.
"It is a very big deal, Dean, you're just not taking this seriously," Cas snapped.
"You're being childish, Cas," Dean snapped back. He really wasn't in the mood to be lectured anymore.
"I am a warrior, I've killed beings far more powerful than you. I raised you from perdition and then made the round trip again with your brother. I've fought off countless angels and demons. I was God. I am a powerful immortal being capable of more than you could ever fathom with your puny little mind and you would be dead hundreds of times over if not for me!" Cas boomed angrily.
"Cas, one time you started crying because you accidentally stepped on a bee," Dean huffed.
Cas narrowed his eyes, "Bees are very important, you need them," Cas growled.
"Yeah, and I need you too, that's why I went after Anya, alright?" Dean blurted. He dropped his eyes to the floor, suddenly finding the checkered pattern fascinating, "I'm sorry that I upset you, I was just looking out for you man."
Cas' face softened, "You need me?"
Dean looked up with a frown, "Of course I need you, you're family Cas."
Cas gave Dean a soft smile. Dean often referred to him as family, but he'd never told Cas he needed him before, not like this. "I need you too, Dean."
The two stared at the other for a moment, neither knowing what to do.
At that moment Sam walked in with dinner, much to Dean's relief. He was never one for chick flick moments.(Request for CarterRogers02, hope it's okay)
