Day 21 - What three lessons do you want your children to learn from you?

1. Be a peacemaker
Growing up this was the one of the things I was told and taught most. "Always be the peacemaker"
And I think thats good. I feel like a lot of the reason I am the way I am today (as in I hate seeing people argue and fight, I always feel the need to stop it, and I never ever try to cause arguments or fights) is because of my parents so often teaching me this. To me its a very important lesson to learn. Don't be the person who causes the fights, or don't do anything to stop them. Be the person who is willing to suck up your anger and pride to keep the peace, and be willing to step in and help clear things up when there is fighting among others.

2. Keep God at the center of your life
Another important life lesson, and Ill be honest it is still one Im learning and trying to do now, but it doesn't make it any less important. Its plain and simple. If you keep God at the center of your life, and truly live for him, in the end things will always be better. This doesn't guarantee you a perfect life, it wont be. But keeping God at the center of it will help you more than anything in this world, because God himself will help you and guide you always.

3. Don't let fear and procrastination rule your life
Again, one Im still very much working on in my own life, but still insanely important.
All my life I've let these two things control everything I do and don't do. Chances I haven't taken out of fear, and opportunities I've let slip due to procrastination. I have a lot of regrets on both sides, and wish I could fix that.
This is definitely a lesson I want my future children to learn. I never want them to have to regret the opportunities and chances they could've had.
