The 30 Day Writing Challenge
Day 2 - Write about something someone told you about yourself that you will never forget
I have a lot of stories I could tell here, like when Avi called my voice angelic, or when Henning said I was beautiful. But no, for this story we're going all the way back to an experience I had years ago when I was at the fair, and something that honestly still puts a smile on my face to this day.
Its was April of 2000 something. (Probably 2013 or 2014) and I was at the fair. I was walking around by myself, I think I was looking for my friend Madi and as I was headed to the Fine Arts building I passed these 2 teenage girls (older than me, like 16 and 17 when I was 13 or 14) and I wasnt paying too much attention of everyone around me, I was just focused on getting to the building. These girls pass me and one of them quickly stops me and says "Oh my gosh, You are *so* pretty".
I was really shocked and not expecting that at all. I just quickly smiled and said thank you so much and within seconds it was over.
But dear god when I was a dorky early-teen some other people thought I was pretty... unless they were being sarcastic. But Im not exactly sure why they would be unless they were trolling me...
I guess we'll never truly know. But I chose to take it the good way, and I still do to this day.
Its a great feeling to get when you're randomly complimented about something just out of the blue.
And thats my day two •3•
