Hey everybody!!!
I have returned from my fantastic week at Camp Regen!
Ill dedicate a chapter to the trip in the future, but for now Ill say it was great and definitely helped me spiritually in many ways that I really needed.
I am so going back next year
In other news, since Ive been back Ive been prepping for entering a contest, and reviving a near-dead chicken.
Yesterday in the late afternoon I went outside and found one of our chickens about dead. She was still breathing but was unresponsive. I dipped her in water, force fed her a little water, and fanned her before moving her into my family's garage. Once I moved her into the garage and held her in front of the swamp cooler for a minute she perked up and started acting more awake and alive. She survived through the night and is doing better. She can sort of walk, more of a waddle or a hobble but still. Currently shes resting in a dark corner of the garage. I hope she makes it, as it is we already lost a chicken to the heat yesterday. I dont wanna lose 2 to one day.
I should get an award for chicken care. Im the one constantly taking care of them and I brought this chicken back to life when she was on the verge of death. Had my dad found her first he would've just killed her thinking she had no chance of making it.
I am the real Mercy.
Heroes never die!
I don't exactly have much else to tell about my life the past few days, in all honesty not much has happened, Ive just been recovering from camp!
Ill start back up on my 30 Day Writing Challenge very soon!!
See y'all in the next chapter!
Stay hydrated.
