Ballad "Ballad of The End"

I walked into the school garden,

Where all alone she sat.

I knew her to be a mean witch,

But now she seemed far from that.

She looked at me with wet eyes,

It seemed she had been crying.

She must've only now realized,

The results of all her lying.

She asked me if I liked her,

She said she needed a friend.

I sighed and simply answered,

'Well, that all depends.'

'Are you still a mean ruler,

Or do you want to change?'

She smiled at me sadly;

'Yes, that could be arranged.'

I nodded and sat next to her,

She asked me what to do.

I smiled slightly as I said,

"I'll leave that to you."

She nodded and thanked me,

I asked her what for.

To this she simply answered,

"Making me different than before."

 An hour later we graduated,

I was best in class.

In my speech I looked at her,

I said "It seems these whispers have passed."
