After editing and uploading with her best friend, Skye finds herself sitting in front of Dan's piano. Iris sits next to her on the long stool, watching as the blond plays around with some keys, searching for the right melody.

Dan and Phil gave up on trying to cook supper, going out to a restaurant instead. They trusted Iris enough to leave her home alone with Skye - or at least, Phil did.

Skye suddenly smiles, finally satisfied with the sound. Iris knows the song as soon as she hears the intro - and it isn't the first time this song has been sung to her now - but she's beyond shocked when she hears the angelic, yet raspy, voice Skye produces.

And she means every word she sings:

And I'd give up forever to touch you,

Cause I know that you feel me somehow.

You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be,

And I don't want to go home right now.

And all I can taste is this moment,

And all I can breathe is your life.

'Cause sooner or later it's over,

I just don't want to miss you tonight.

And I don't want the world to see me,

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand.

When everything's meant to be broken,

I just want you to know who I am.

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming,

Or the moment of truth in your lies.

When everything feels like the movies,

Yeah, you'd bleed just to know you're alive.

And I don't want the world to see me,

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand.

When everything's meant to be broken,

I just want you to know who I am.

And I don't want the world to see me,

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand.

When everything's meant to be broken,

I just want you to know who I am.

I just want you to know who I am.

*If you don't remember, or are simply questioning if you're correct; Yes, Dan sang this song to Iris in an earlier chapter (Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls / Sleeping With Sirens cover). However, when Dan sang it, it had more of a fatherly meaning behind it. Whereas Skye is obviously singing this as a love song. I thought that'd be cute, though; having the people who love her sing the song titled as her name. I only named her Iris because I love the song OOPS SECRET IS OUT. I should probably shut up now, goodbye!*

When Iris finishes the song, she takes her hands off the keys and turns her head towards Iris. She didn't expect their faces to wind up so close, but the younger girl doesn't flinch or back away. She simply begins to lean in, following the blond's lead. She closes her eyes at the last second, and just as their lips are about to meet-

"We're home!" Dan shouts, barging through the front door.

The two girls immediately jump away from each other, Iris accidentally falling onto the floor.
