After Bellamy commanded us to run, I was quick to my feet and off the floor. I winced, feeling a pain in my ankle, I must've twisted it after I fell! I saw Charlotte and Miller running to a nearby cave, before going after them I glanced back to see Bellamy grip Atoms shirt, lifting him off the ground. It seemed he was ready to sacrifice him to the fog and its mysterious dangers.

"Bellamy! Let's go!" I called to him as the fog neared the two guys. Bellamy stared at Atom with narrowed eyes before he dropped him and ran up to me.

We hurried after Miller and Charlotte who were only a block ahead. Glancing back I saw Atom get up quickly before following us, to my horror it seemed like he wouldn't make it! The fog was trailing right behind him! I couldn't do much to help him as I was falling behind myself, so much that Miller dropped behind to carry me over his shoulder to make it to the cave in time.

From being over his shoulder, I could clearly see Atom fighting to beat the fog. Then, to my horror, Atom tripped and the fog began covering his feet as he screamed in pain.

"No! Atom!" I cried out as I fought against Millers hold on me.

"It's too late." Bellamy said as he helped Charlotte into the cave, Miller and I falling just behind.

"Please! He still has a chance!" I cried as the fog covered up to his knees. I didn't want to see Octavia's greif over his death, I wanted to see her joy over his survival.

Miller set me down near the cave and glanced back at Atom. I saw the fog almost up to his waste as he attempted to drag himself along the dirt to reach us. In an instant Miller turned and ran to save Atom. I had fear in my eyes but hope for Millers heroic efforts. I felt myself pulled safely into the cave, the last thing I saw was Miller helping Atom up.

"Miller? Atom?" I called out after a minute or so went by. Too my horror there was no response.

I shuddered as Bellamy muttered "damn it!" Then more quietly said "may we meet again.."

I glanced at Charlotte who was beside me, she repeated Bellamy's words, it was the respectful way to say goodbye for us. But I didn't want to give up on them, I gave it a few more moments before the fog flew past the cave and the guys didn't arrive.

With tears in my eyes I mumbled "may we meet again." It felt like it was all my fault. Miller had saved me then I complained about Atom being left behind which caused them both to die.

"You two should get some sleep.." He told us quietly, but when he glanced at us I noticed the tears in his eyes..he didn't seem that bad after all. I gave him a nod in reply before I found a spot next to Charlotte in a corner, soon drifting off into sleep.

---

"No! No! Stop!" A voice echoed. My eyes shot open only too see Charlotte twisting and turning in her sleep. I could tell she was having some kind of nightmare.

"Hey..you ok?" I asked as I tapped her shoulder. I was doing my best to forget about the horrors of the fog and my friends who died from it. Instead I'd distract myself by helping Charlotte.

"Huh?? Oh..yeah just nightmares" Charlotte replied with a shaky voice.

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked quietly to comfort my friend.

"I-I see them dying..every time.." She told me in a shaky voice, her eyes were wide and staring off in the distance; it looked almost as if she was rewatching her nightmares.

"You know what my dad taught me?" I began with a smile "he would say: fear is the enemy. To stop the enemy you have to get rid of it."

"How?" She questioned me once I finished talking.
