"Bring them to our heda." a voice hissed.

I opened my eyes but failed to see anything. A panic surged through my chest. Was I blind? Then I quickly remembered the last thing I could: the hood being thrown over my head. I was just wearing a hood, it's fine Lizzie. I assured myself. Taking a calming breath I attempted to take the hood off only to find my hands were tyed with a rope..or something.

I felt someone pick me up by my armpits from my position on my knees. They roughly pulled me up onto my feet, not caring if they hurt me whatsoever. I gritted my teeth as I was shoved forward, immediately the floor slipped away from beneath me. I was falling. Then just as soon as I had fallen I had hit the hard dirt floor. My hands stung as tiny rocks stuck to them. I was unsure if I had cut myself on anything but everything hurt from my shoulders to the tips of my fingers. So did my legs, they stung just the same as my arms but luckily I had chosen to wear my jeans, so no harm done there.

In a quick second someone tore my hood off. I took my surroundings in. It was dark already, and one of the men from the battle was standing over me with my dark hood in their hand, the one they pulled off of me. I was in a camp. I had been pushed off of a wagon of some sort pulled by horses. Glancing besides me I saw Octavia and Jasper tyed up and hooded the same, but still in the wagon. Except they had their masks on, the only way I could distinguish one from the other was Octavia's long hair and Jaspers limp from his injury that still seemed to be bleeding.

I stared up at the man infront of me with gritted teeth, trying to hide my worried eyes, "Help him!"

"And why would I do that?" He retorted.

"Please. He needs help or he's going to die." I said in a softer tone.

"You and your group killed one of our men and crossed into our territory, there is no reason we should help you." He retorted as he turned away and spoke with another grounder beside him.

"Jerk." I mumbled quietly.

I watched as he turned his back entirely away from me and spoke with the other man. I had to use this to my advantage. I quickly raised myself to my feet with my hands that I realized were tyed together with rope. I raised my hands to my mouth and quickly bit my rope, tugging it off as quickly as I could. It hurt so bad, I thought my teeth might fall off but I had to do whatever it takes to get out of here. I quickly spun around and jumped onto the wagon, running to the tyed up Octavia's side.

I grabbed her arms and she flinched, but I quickly reassured her with a whisper, "It's Lizzie, don't worry."

"How?" She began before shaking her head beneath the hood "No, it doesn't matter just get me out of here."

I quickly tore off the rope from her hands and she pulled her hood off. "Un—"

"You little—they're getting away!" The man who still had my hood in his hand announced as he pointed at me.

"Untie Jasper! I'll get the wagon going." I told Octavia as I quickly climbed over to the front of the wagon where the horses were.

Octavia nodded in response before she quickly ran over to Jasper and began untying him. I grabbed the reins for the horses and quickly whipped them to start the horses up, just as I felt someone else jump on the wagon from their increasing weight. I steered the horses down a straight past into the forest as I glanced back only to see Octavia pushing and wrestling with the grounder guard. He threw her onto the floor with a loud thud, but she didn't let that stop her from defending her friend.

The grounder began approaching Jasper with a blade in his hand. Octavia quickly kicked him in the back of his knees. His knees locked and he nearly fell before quickly caught himself. This gave Octavia a chance to get up and quickly block the way between Jasper and the grounder.
