chapter nine

"Kiddo I-" Finn began defending himself but I cut him off angrily.

"Don't kiddo me! You betrayed her!" I spat at him. He didn't respond at first, he just glanced at Clarke who seemed confused and stepped back from this awkward moment. Charlotte did the same. I felt bad they were here for this but I didn't care too much, at least not about Clarke.

"Calm down.." He said softly as he approached me with open arms. Did he really expect a hug to calm me down? He just broke his trust with me..with Raven!

"You're cheating on Raven! You were all she had and now look at you!" I spat at him with watery eyes and shoved him when he approached me. I had been fed up with his affair and everything down here. Everything in camp. It was overloading me with stress. I couldn't be this tough girl forever, not with everything going so horribly wrong.

I turned and ran into camp, wanting to get away from them..from everything. I wanted to wake up back on the ark and cry onto Raven's shoulder. I wished everything could be like before. I missed the days I spent with Raven, helping her repair small things. Playing games with her. I missed her. I bolted into the dropship, ignoring the calls of Finn. My ankle was telling me to stop but I ignored its pain, just wanting to run away from it all.

I suddenly felt myself stopped. Soft arms were wrapped around me "whats wrong Liz?" The person asked softly. For a second I assumed it was Raven..but that wasn't possible, not here, not now. I glanced up to see Octavia staring down at me. She had concern in her eyes which made me feel save here with her.

"I-I just want things to be back to normal.." I mumbled shakily as tears streamed down my face. Octavia softly pulled me into a hug, she gave off the sister vibe I had with Raven. It was good feeling to be comforted by her.

"Shh..its ok" she told me softly. "Everything's going to be alright.." She assured me as she ran a hand through my hair to calm me. I didn't have words to respond as I wrapped my arms around her, hugging back. I felt happy to be comforted, Raven was always the same way..right now all I could think about was how much I miss her. In this calm moment I felt myself slowly drift off to sleep.

"Shh.." I heard a soft voice. I immediately recognized her as Raven. I felt her gentle hand take mine as she quietly began leading me to our shared room. It was usual for us to sneak into our rooms, if we ever disturbed my dad he would yell at us and it was best to avoid it.

We arrived in the room we shared. It was small for two people but I enjoyed it still. I joined Raven on her bed sitting beside her. She allowed me to lean on her, as she said "so how was school?"

"Oh..that.." I mumbled glancing down at my shoes "its was fine" I lied to her. Usually the other kids had bullied me for having a drunk dad. It was horrible, especially holding back the fists that I wanted to throw on there ugly faces.

"What's wrong Liz?" She asked in concern as she lifted a eyebrow. She knew me too well and could probably tell something was wrong. I didn't reply at first before glancing up at the brunette.

"They were calling dad a drunk.." I told her quietly. She responded by hugging me and rubbing my back for comfort. Yes, it helped but I could always hear there painful words about my dad. He was perfectly fine..at least he was.

"He's just stressed..he will be fine in no time" Raven reassured me with a smile. I wanted to believe her but we both knew dad was only getting worse. And even if her reassurance helped for a second, it wouldn't end up true.

Instead of disagreeing I replied with a small nod and a smaller smile to give her reassureance. "Alright, now get some sleep Liz.." She told me sweetly before lying me down on my bed and it all faded away.
