Lizzie's POV

It was night by now. After discussing how they would sneak out, they went to spend the rest of the day in some way. My ideal day was sleeping but Bellamy only allowed me to sleep for one hour before waking me up to help work. I had worked on tying together some logs while the men would work together and carry them to stack for the wall.

It wasn't too tiring seeing as it was a easy job and since I'd slept a while. As well as the blazing sun heating me up in the camp clearing. Don't get me wrong there were some trees that provided good shade but the majority of camp was treeless.

After a long days work I finished tying together the last stack of logs as the now soaked in sweat men lifted and carried it over to the wall. I wiped the bullets of sweat off my forehead with the sleeves of my camo sweatshirt.

The sweatshirt was a treasured belonging I received from my mom's wardrobe when I grew into it. Even if I didn't know her after she passed on, keeping it close made me feel as if a part of her was still in me.

The rest of my outfit was simple Jean shorts from the ark, it was good in this heat but no when you were as clumsy as me and always ended up cutting your legs. Other than that I had my hair up in a ponytail with a black rubber band I had found in the wreckage and a necklace received by my father and Raven as a birthday gift when I turned nine.

The necklace was a silver chain with a a sparkling heart with wings. The heart had a purple amethyst shaped to fit the space the heart piece. I remembered how special it was to me and how I never took it off. And would never even think about taking it off.

The plan to sneaking out was actually pretty simple, the southern side of camp had a patch in the wall still missing so they all had to get there by dark, unseen. Then they simply leave, find some of the red seaweed they used on Wells and bring it home to help Atom. It all had to be done unnoticed, and by morning at most.

As the sun began setting over the horizon, I glanced around the camp to be sure no one was watching. Then I quickly made my way to the meeting area. No sooner had I bumped into Bellamy himself. The curly haired man gave me a quizzical look before asking "where you off to kid?"

I felt anger fill me from head to toe, I wasn't a kid even if that's what everyone thought. I was just as good and tough as everyone of them. I rolled my eyes in annoyance "just g-"

I was cut off as footsteps approached from behind me only to reveal Octavia. "We're heading to my tent, I offered her a bed for the night." Octavia explained giving her brother a small glare, probably from the earlier argument.

Bellamy glanced between the two of us, disbelief in his eyes. I gave him a annoyed look and he hesitantly nodded. In a few seconds he turned and disappeared into his tent. I wasn't suprised to see the girl known as Roma follow in after him shortly. It made sense seeing as he was always alone with her, pretty disgusting from my point of view.

"Thanks O" I said, glancing up at her with a grin, I was greatful she had my back against Bellamy. Octavia had given me a small smile in return. She then glanced around, double checking our surroundings again.

"Alright, let's get going..the others are probably waiting" She told me in a quiet whisper before glancing ahead. Then she turned and led me to the wall opening where the others should be meeting us.

As soon as we arrived I had immediately noticed Jasper sitting on a tree stump, playing with his hands boredly as he was waiting. I didn't see Charlotte at first, but then I saw the branches from a tree above shaking. In an instant Charlotte swung down, landing beside me with a small smirk on her face.

"How many times have you been practicing that??" I asked her, giggling in my words.

Charlotte playfully grinned before replying "it's easy, all in the grip" she bragged showing me the red marks on her hands.
