[Raven's POV]

Octavia turned her head and began walking away. I thought I saw tears forming in her eyes and almost felt guilty, but then again it was really her fault Lizzie was gone. Luckily, the grounders said they wouldn't harm a child and would give her back to us, but it still seemed sketchy that they'd just give her up. Part of me thought this was a trap, but I'd risk it if it ment I'd get Lizzie back. I let out a heavy breath when I heard the clicking of hooves approaching. I could only assume they were riding horses.

From the other side if the bridge I could see the outlines of the grounders on horseback. First came a dark skinned lady riding a horse, following behind her was a woman with odd face paintings. There was another man on horseback behind, acting as almost if they were her bodyguards.

Clarke walked past me to get closer, Finn followed her, holding her hand. The sight almost made my heart sink but I decided to ignore it. The lady with face paint on climbed off her horse, and only then did I see Lizzie, who was apparently sitting behind her on the horse. My heart started beating fast, she had a hood over her head, but I could easily recognize her small figure. I walked forward a few more steps, watching as they pulled Lizzie off the horse to stand beside the lady with face paint whom I could tell must be the leader.

Clarke walked over to meet them at the center of the bridge, Finn was still right beside her. The leader said something I wasn't able to hear, but it caused Finn to hesitantly walk back to join the rest of us. Clarke continued exchanging words with the woman.

What is Clarke waiting for? Get Lizzie already!

I couldn't be patient and wait as they kept talking, instead I began walking forward to join Clarke and the woman. Before I reached Clarke, the dark skinned lady stepped in my way, not allowing me to reach them.

"Let me through." I muttered as calmly as I could, but it still came out with a tone.

"They must speak alone." The woman responded.

I crossed my arms, glaring at her. "Look. That hostage you have is my little sister and the deal was you'd hand her over if we stay on our side of the bridge, so give me my sister back."

I almost saw pity in the woman's eyes as she shook her head. "No. You let them talk alone or you will not get your sister back."

I sighed, shooting her one last glare. "Fine, but I swear to god, if anything happens to Lizzie, I promise you're gonna regret it."

The woman just slowly nodded, showing no real expression.

Asshole.

[Lizzie's POV]

I couldn't see anything after the hood was thrown over my head, which was honestly terrifying. They could kill me without me even knowing or throw me in a river where I'd drown just when I realized I was in the water. It was like a game of trust, but with these people who I didn't trust whatsoever.

I felt my palms get sweaty when the horses came to a stop, it was hard to stay calm when I felt Anya dismount the horse and leave me there, alone. I didn't know if we we're at the place where they had a plan or if we were halfway there or even if they'd be taking me all the way there.

I attempted to calm my nerves with deep breaths, but it was no use. Not only was I in danger but so were my friends. Hell, they could take off my hood after killing my friends and leave me to stare at their dead bodies or-

"The deal was that we would meet here, agree to stay on our side of the bridge and you give her back us." A voice said quietly.

You know that feeling you get when someone stares at you? Yeah, I was getting that when this voice mentioned her. Actually, the more that I thought about it..no it couldn't be- I could've sworn that voice sounded a lot like Clarke.

I heard a different voice, Anya's voice, respond but too quietly for me to hear. I anxiously bit my inner cheek, I felt so useless if that was Clarke and the others were here, I had no way to help or tell them it was a trap- except..

I raised my tied hands to my mouth and slipped them underneath my hood where I began pulling off my gag and then throwing off my hood. I didn't realize how much a gag could hurt your jaw until now. Let me saw it felt very sore.

I looked around from on the horse and saw the others, most of them were there on the other side of the bridge. Much closer Clarke was talking to Anya just as I suspected.

"Hey! How did you get your hood off-"

I glanced to my right and saw a guard coming after me now that I could speak.

"C-Clarke!" I managed to say with my sore jaw.

"Lizzie?" She peered over Anya's shoulder as I jumped off the horse to get away from Indra.

Unfortunately, it's harder than you'd expect to jump off a horse with your hands tied. Maybe it had to do with balance, but I fell on my face instead of sticking the landing. It gave the guard just enough time to get over to me and restrain me in her arms.

"It's a tr-"

The guard immediately punched me in the stomach to shut me up. The air fled from my lungs and I found myself gasping for air and coughing all at once. I fell to my knees, holding my stomach as a small amount air began filling my lungs again.

"Tr..Trap" I managed to say from my spot on the floor, but it only came out as a whisper.

Apparently the guard heard, since they decided to kick me in the stomach, more times than I could count. I began gasping for the air I barley got back. I started coughing again but this time I coughed harder and it hurt worse. I couldn't breathe, I was chocking on this liquid that tasted like copper. My body was shutting down and seizing since I was unable to roll myself over and spit whatever it was out.

"No! Stop it! You're hurting her!" I looked to the right of Clarke to see a familiar face running over to help, could it really be-

"Raven stop." Clarke said quickly to her.

It is her, Raven's here..but how?

"She's going to die!" Raven argued, pushing past a guard that tried blocking her way.

"Your friend takes one more step and all of you're people are dead." Anya said firmly to Clarke. "Your child friend did that to herself."

My vision was fading away as I watched Clarke negotiate and Raven attempt to get to me. I heard a ringing in my ears, no voices, not even the sound of me choking.

I heard a faint voice "Get down!"

Then everything went black.
