three days later..

lizzie's pov .

"get her ready to leave..it's time."

time for what? oh god..was their plan finally going into place?

i bit my inner cheek, anxiously. i had overheard a some of their plan over the past few days since they kept me in chains in this heda lady's tent, it wasn't hard to overhear them. except when they spoke in their language, now that was very confusing. but they didn't seem to notice me whenever i'd listen in on their conversations, like right now. i kept my eyes closed as i stayed laying against the wall, in the spot i had fallen asleep the night before. they just assumed i was still asleep i guess.

i had overheard this heda lady's name: anya. but i hadn't even overheard enough of their plan to piece together what exactly would happen, but it still scared me. they said something about using me to get my friends killed. i was terrified. i'd rather i die than my friends die.

infact, it scared me enough to make me sick, so sick i didn't even bother to eat the food they brought me once a day. but to be fair, it was usually some undercooked meat. it was practically poison, and i wouldn't be suprised if they were trying to poison me with it.

"yes, heda." i heard the woman, indra, respond with.

there it was, that weird word 'heda'. it was one of the many words in their language. i wish i knew what it ment, but since they listened and obeyed this heda lady, i could only assume it was some sort of leaders name. i tried to understand this language of theirs, but it was no use. i needed some sort of translator or someone to teach me if i ever were to understand this language.

i heard footsteps growing closer. and closer. and closer. my heart pounded when they suddenly stopped. all i could hearing was breathing, so loud i could tell this person was right beside me. i felt the chains linked to my handcuffs being picked up as i was suddenly pulled to my feet. i pretended to have barley woken up, nearly tripping on purpose. i caught balance and put on a hopefully sleepy looking expression.

"mm..what's going on?" i asked in the sleepiest voice i could muster.

i waited for a response as the woman who had 'woken me up' bent down to unlock my handcuffs from the chains that forced me to stay here in this tent, with no escape. she took out her keys and began the process of unlocking me. she was so focused infact that she didn't even bother to look at me when she responded. so much for pretending to be tired. it wouldn't even matter how tired i looked if she didn't bother to make eye contact and notice.

"we're taking you somewhere." the dark skinned woman, indra, responded simply.

"where?" i responded quietly, while waiting for a response.

this time she took longer to respond. i didn't even think she was going to respond at this point, which was pretty rude in my opinion. but then i heard a click and the chains fell from my handcuffs, leaving me free. i felt as if i should just run, take off and take my chances of managing to get back to camp like this. but i was actually pretty tired and i doubted i'd even be able to get away.

"you'll see."

thirty minutes later, they loaded me on the back of a horse, more specifically the back of the leader anya's horse. attached to my handcuffs were chains that she held in one hand and with the other hand she held the reins to the horse. the horse was a dark shade of black, it had thick fur with even thicker fur around its hooves. it almost looked as if it were wearing boots. i had to admit it was pretty uncomfortable the way i was seated on the horse, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the anxiety boiling in my stomach. it was enough to make me throw up.

i anxiously tapped my fingers against my handcuffs. it made a small, satisfying tapping sound. we hadn't left to wherever we were going just yet, they were still getting ready you could say. i watched them mount their horses, they was three men accompanying us, as if they were her body guards of some sort. but it seemed weird, if they were using me as bait then why were they bringing so little men. you'd think they had an-

"tell the soldiers to follow us in the trees, staying unnoticed." the heda, anya, said.

"how many soldiers?" i spoke my thoughts out loud, a complete accident.

the woman, indra, shot me a serious expression, "you'll learn to stay quiet."

i rolled my eyes, "and pigs will fly." i said sarcastically.

anya looked annoyed before doing some weird hand signal to indra. indra seemed to understand it clearly. she suddenly tyed rope around my mouth, muffling my voice. i shot indra a glare, attempting to spit out the rope in my mouth. immediately indra threw a hood over my head, and everything went black.

raven's pov .

i crossed my arms across my chest, trying to hide the fear fueling through me. it was almost time. staring at the bridge didn't help as i waited for the so called grounders to show up. i felt a hand on my arm and turned to see finn. the cheating, lying finn. i pulled my arm away and avoided looking at him.

"raven." finn reasoned, "we're all worried about her."

i turned to face him, "if you really cared about her then you would've watched her and she never would've been taken in the first place, but no, you were just too busy screwing clarke, right?"

he opened his mouth to speak, before quickly clamping it shut. "that's what i thought." i retorted.

in the corner of my eye, i saw him hesitantly walk off and join beside clarke. i rolled my eyes in annoyance. there he goes, right back with clarke. abby seemed nice and all, but her daughter clarke only explained she never knew about me in the first place. i mean..maybe she was right but then it was all finn's fault. in my heart, i just really didn't want to blame finn. i loved him and he loved me, he saved me from my mother but maybe i just has to accept he didn't love me anymore.

suddenly, i felt a hand on my arm, again. "lizzie's a tough kid, and i love her like a sister.." the voice trailed off.

i glanced over to see a dark haired girl, octavia blake. immediately, i pulled my arm away and glared at her. "you were the one who lost her, you shouldn't even be here!"

"i-" she looked down, "i know, but i promise i'll get her back."

"you better be right."
