Blaze is this thing we tried out in high school then left it alone when it didn't work out.

By thing I mean a girl group.

Nia, Brook and I had decided our freshman year we wanted to take a chorus class. We all have a love for music and dancing so we thought it was a great idea.

It wasn't.

The class was more about sheet music and learning notes then it was singing. I guess we had watched too much Glee; automatically assuming we would get to stand in front of the class and belt out our favorite pop songs everyday.

Since that was a bust, we wanted to try to find a way to sing together in some other way.

That's how Blaze was born.

Nia wrote the songs, I choreographed them and Brook was the business. She got us booked for talent shows, open houses, anywhere with a stage she wanted us to sing on it.

We kept going until the beginning of senior year before realizing it was never going to work out the way we wanted it to.

The good thing about it is that all the videos of me doing choreo were useful because I sent them along with my resume to a performing arts academy. I was recognized and had an audition then, well we already know how that goes.

"Why are you bringing up Blaze?" i asked confused.

"Do you not see it? This is a business opportunity of a lifetime. I mean seriously! You mention us to that little boyfriend of yours, then he says something to someone with some power. Boom. The three of us, red carpets, magazines, and selling out Madison Square Garden." Brook says like shes planned this for years.

She can't be serious.

"This isn't business Brooklyn. This is a really nice guy and I'm not going to use him to fulfill your dream of being famous."

"I agree. That's just heartless." Nia agreed then Brook sighs plopping back onto the couch.

"You bitches are no fun." she pouted then picked up her phone typing away.

I go back to my room and change out of my uniform glad I finally have the next few days off of work.

Hopefully, Niall doesn't return looking for me. I'm sure he won't though he definitely has more important things to do then chase down a normal girl like myself.

Seriously, it seems too good to be true. I highly doubt he'll even call or text me.

I spend the rest of the night catching up with my girls and binge watching Jane the Virgin.

I can't even stay awake though because every minute something starts to get interesting my eyes get heavy.

3:00 am

I hear an annoying buzz next to me that wakes me up. I thought it was my alarm but then I realized I was asleep on the floor and it was just my phone vibrating against the wood.

This is my apartment why the fuck am I sleeping on the floor anyways?

I just reach for the buzzing device and look notification on the bright screen.

"Hey it's Niall. I was wondering if you wanted to go for breakfast tomorrow morning at about 8.  Just let me know :-)"

Holy shit.

He actually texted me.

I debate on waking Nia and Brook up then decide against it being distracted by my heart pounding hard in my chest. I jump around excitedly before him texting back.

"Sounds great just send the address before 7:59"

Then in an instant nerves flood through me as I realize that our date is only five hours from now and I'm no where near prepared.

What am I going to wear? Will there be paparazzi? Are we going alone or will the other boys be joining us?

Is it even a fucking date?

"I'll send it at 7:58 lol"

God, I haven't felt like this over a guy in almost a year. I'm almost completely new to this whole thing.

So, that's great.

I need to get sleep before I get severe raccoon eyes. Concealer can only cover up so much.

Speaking of makeup, I have to wake up in time to pick out something, shower, and do my hair and beat my face.

I set an alarm on my phone to wake up at 7 then sneak off quietly to my room and try to fall asleep peacefully and comfortably.
