~De's POV~

The sound of someone's light snoring somewhere near me woke me up, alerting me to the fact that I was safely back at Mount Justice, on an infirmary bed in the cave's med bay. Blinking my eyes rapidly as I blearily sat up, I turned my head in the direction of the snoring to see Nightwing sitting in a glossy black leather chair between mine and Aria's infirmary beds. I smiled softly at the sight. /He must've stayed in here for god knows how long, just to make sure we would be okay... He must've been worried sick about me and Aria.../ I thought quietly, catching sight of the clock on the wall across from where my bed was positioned.
Glancing at it as my ears started to ring, I couldn't exactly pinpoint how much time had passed since the incident with Sportsmaster, Cheshire, and their henchmen. I'd guess possibly more than a few hours had gone by, just by how the milky dawn light that was filtering in through the curtains of the room. Sighing softly to myself, I managed to slide off my infirmary bed and stand up shakily. Nightwing didn't wake up, his head still rested on the palm of one of his gloved hands as he napped in the leather chair. /He looks even more handsome when he's asleep!!/ I inwardly giggled, blushing profusely as I tiptoed out of the room to get something to drink. Once out of the med bay, I carefully made my way to the kitchen, hoping that nobody else would be awake at this hour. No such luck.
Isaac, Jason's dirty blonde buddy that I met during the venom injection fiasco, was already in the dining room, seated at the kitchen island in the middle of the room. As I tentatively walked past him toward the refrigerator, he looked up at me before averting his gaze quietly.
"Morning," I murmured softly, opening the fridge and glancing through its contents, looking for something to quench my burning thirst.
"Good mornin," Isaac brightly chuckled, walking towards me as I withdrew the tea pitcher from the fridge, "Your head hurting after yesterday? Mine sure is. You guys got any painkiller or something?" He inquired, hazel eyes meeting my brown ones as I downed a full glass of ice tea in front of him.
Swallowing the last sip, I licked my lips and tried to remember if we had any painkilling pills somewhere.
"Ehhhh, I don't remember really. Though I guess my headache is preventing me from remembering much," I sighed, putting a hand to my forehead as it started to throb. /What kind of side effects did those venom injections exactly have?/ I wondered quietly to myself, placing the tea pitcher back inside the fridge.
"Same here, my brain's kinda fried from whatever was in those shots that Sportsy gave me," Isaac watches me as I approach the pantry, searching for a box of my favorite cereal. Maybe breakfast would wake me up a little more? And seeing that Isaac and I are the only ones awake right now, a little breakfast couldn't hurt, especially since everyone would be raiding the kitchen eventually. As I opened the pantry door, I spotted the cereal box on one of the higher shelves and grumbled softly.
"Nightwingggg, why do you have to put things on high shelvesssss," I growled with a pout as I stood on my tip toes to reach the box, to no avail. Huffing with impatience, i rolled my eyes, "Why does he do that? He knows I'm too short to reach it that high up!" I hissed softly.
"Need some help, small fry?" Isaac snickered, coming up behind me as I glowered up at the box. Before I could answer, he grabbed the box and handed it to me. I nodded gratefully at him, then turned away, grabbing a bowl from one of the cupboards.
"Hey, speaking of Nightwing." Isaac followed after me as I poured cereal into the bowl, "You guys a thing or somethin? Or does the Batman-wannabe always watch over his teammates like a mother hen?" I blushed profusely, my heart racing at the question as I put the box and bowl down.
"Uhhh, I don't know." I inwardly smacked myself for my stupid response. /I don't know? Real smart answer, stupid idiot./
Isaac smirked, walking closer to me, "Do you have feelings for him? Because if not, maybe you'd be willing to join Jason and I once we're ready to leave this cave of yours. I'd make it worth your while~" I rolled my eyes at Isaac as he got closer to me, cornering me against one of the kitchen drawers.
"Thanks but no thanks," I said quietly as the dirty blonde boy's lips hovered close to my cheek.
"If Nightwing likes you so much, why hasn't he made a move on you yet to make things official between you two, hmm?" Isaac pried a little more, his mint-scented breath tickling my cheek as I shied away from him.
"Things are complicated and he has other things to worry about rather than chasing after random women," I automatically responded, trying to get away from Isaac who was getting entirely too close to me.
"You sure about that, cutie?~" Isaac pinned me against the kitchen counter playfully. My eyes widened as he lowered his head to kiss along my neck.
"Hey, leave her alone," a low growl sounded from the entrance to the kitchen, and I looked past Isaac to see Nightwing scowling at the dirty blonde.
"I was just messing around, Batman-wannabe. And don't start bossing me around like one of your teammates," Isaac huffed, rolling his eyes quietly.
Nightwing narrowed his eyes at Isaac as I ate my breakfast swiftly.
"As long as you're in this cave, you'll be hearing me bossing you around as much as I want to. You have the freedom to leave whenever you want, nobody said you had to stay." Dick growled softly, approaching me protectively. Isaac snorted and left the room, not bothering to argue further, thankfully.
"Did he hurt you?" Nightwing asked me gently, looking me over as I blushed at how close he was to me.
"No, thanks for helping me out with him, by the way," I shyly thanked him, looking at my now empty breakfast bowl.
Nightwing chuckles softly, "You must've been pretty hungry. Haven't seen you eat that fast." One of his hands reaches for the empty bowl at the same time as one of mine. Our hands touch and we both blush quietly before I pull away shyly, letting him take the bowl and put it away for me.
"So, about what Isaac was saying to you," He began, walking back over to me as I watched him.
"Mhmm?" I hummed softly as he sat beside me once more.
"I know things have been complicated lately and I'm sorry for how things have been going on between you and me," He began, "But I um.. I wanted to ask if.. ack, why is this so hard for me to say..." Dick laughed softly to himself, running a gloved hand through his messy bangs. My heart raced as I blushed at the raven haired male.
"I really want us to be more than friends. I feel like.. like I can trust you with a lot of things. You've always been there for me.. and I just-"
I cut him off by kissing his cheek softly and meeting his widened gaze, "I like you, two, Nightwing." I giggled softly.
Dick grinned widely, pulling me into a gentle hug, "Good, because I wanted to ask you if you'd be my girlfriend? I don't want to play this dumb game of liking you but being too afraid of ruining our friendship to tell you. I really like you, De, and I don't want to be just friends anymore." He murmured softly, causing me to smile happily, hugging him back.
"I'd love to be your girlfriend, Nightwing," I replied, leaning in and kissing his lips gently.
"Gross, get a room." We both looked up to see Aria standing with Wally at the entrance to the kitchen. Nightwing laughed softly, pulling me closer to him as he smirked at his younger sister.
"Good morning to you too, queen Aria," he chuckles softly.
"Mhmm, yeah, go back to smooching my best friend, boy blunder," Aria snorted, smiling happily at me as I raised an eyebrow at how she was holding Wally's hand. Nightwing apparently noticed as well because he scowled, standing up slowly.
"Actually... lets talk about what exactly happened to your neck when I left you alone with Wally, shall we?" I giggled, covering my mouth as Wally laughed nervously at being caught red handed.

It was noon, by the time Acacia and I woke up in the guest room. I smiled contentedly at her as she yawned and sat up beside me. "Good morning, babe~" I chuckled, sliding into a sitting position beside her as I started to kiss her shoulder pulling her into a hug. She made a pleasured noise as I rubbed her shoulders and began kissing her jawline.
"Mmm~ Good morning, Jared~" she smirked, escaping me before I could do anything more.
Today was going to be a good day. Isabella was fully awake and recovered now. All we needed was Superman to approve Bella coming home with us and then we could leave this dump and Batman's jackass of a partner. I scowled in displeasure at the thought of Nightwing being in charge of keeping my adopted kid. Isabella is better off with me as her father. I was going to make sure of that, no matter what. Acacia and Isabella were bigger better without Nightwing, who had his hands full with his sister and her hormones and that De girl that Nightwing was always around.
