Chocoholic... a healthy love story

Chapter 2

Kal stood in the small office downstairs looking at the passersby. He turned around and his gaze fell upon the young lady lying down on the sofa in that office. He had to carry her inside this office  after she had walked straight into the glass door and had passed out. It was surely an embarrassment for him on his first day in the company and it was the same young lady who called him An idiot twice today.
He walked over to her and looked down at her , she had a smile on her face as if she was so comfortable lying there. He noticed a bump on her forehead , he looked at her face, she was a beautiful young lady but with a very bad attitude! He wondered if she had come for the interview as well and he wondered why she didn't wait in the waiting room like the others but instead walked back to exit the building .He looked at her stained blouse and wondered if that was the reason, but why should he cared!? Kal thought as he walked back to look outside again.
Kal Dukas was the eldest son of  Maximus and  Angela Dukas. He had been working in Spain in one of their family businesses but had to come back after his father suffered a small stroke.
Since he was recovering he needed Kal to come back and take over their most important company that had been in their family for ages, the " Passion & Chocolate".( páthous kai sokoláta)
He didn't want to come back since he was comfortable there in Spain and asked his parents to let Adrian run the company but they told him that Adrian was not ready and was too young . His coming back had brought a bit of tensions between the two brothers, Adrian thought he will take over from his father since he had been by his side since he graduated from University.
Kal came back to reality when he heard someone said , " It's ok Miss , you had an accident and you passed out".
He turned and saw the young lady sitting down as Mrs. Alexis was attending to her. He had been so lost in his thoughts that he didn't noticed that she had walked in.
Mrs. Alexis has been his father's assistant for ages but she had to take a few months leave and now they were searching for a part time assistant. Trust Adrian to send out an advertisement looking for a young female to work in the company as a part time assistant. He had walked in to find a queue of young women certainly not dressed appropriately for an interview and Adrian had gotten upset with him because he turned  all of them down just by looking at their outfits.
" Adrian this is a serious company! We don't come here to play around with anyone! You have all the time in the bar and discotheque to do that ... you want to pick up one of those go to a bar!", Kal had said to his brother from the interview room as he had pointed to those women waiting to be interviewed.
Adrian had walked out on him slamming the door. He had to cancel the interview and asked Mrs. Alexis to put out a proper advertisement in the newspaper for her replacement.
" Do you remember why you came here?", Mrs. Alexis asked Isabella.
Isabella sat up and looked around the room as she slowly rubbed her forehead.
She froze when she saw the young man from earlier standing in that office giving her the same look that he gave her at  the  café . Her eyes widened and her heart started to beat faster as she wondered what happened to her, "Did he sought revenge on me for spilling coffee on his expensive suit or for calling him an idiot ?!", Isabella asked herself as fear crept over her , she couldn't remember how she got on that sofa.
She quickly stood up but felt dizzy and she sat back down, " Ma'am , I can't seem to remember how I got here! Is it because I called him an idiot?", Isabella whispered to Mrs. Alexis .
" Called who idiot ?", Mrs. Alexis whispered back.
Isabella slowly turned her gaze towards Kal and raised her eyebrows at him glad that his back was now turned to them.
Mrs. Alexis looked at her and nearly laughed,
" No dear ! You bumped your head in the door in the entrance and you passed out!", Mrs. Alexis said smiling.
" Phew! Thought he was punishing me or something!", Isabella whispered to Mrs. Alexis.

" Sir , your office is ready and your coat had been sent to the dry cleaning . Right this way please", a young man came in and Kal left the office following him without glancing at Isabella or Mrs. Alexis ,he walked straight to the door carrying his briefcase.
" So rude!", Isabella thought as Kal left the room without even excusing himself since there were two ladies in the room.

Isabella slowly remembered her incident and she felt so embarrassed.
" Now I remember.Im really sorry. First that man bumped into me spilling my coffee on my blouse then I walked in and saw all those beautiful women all dressed up waiting in line for the interview so I decided to walk out", Isabella said with a sad tone as she grabbed her bag,
" I'm sorry ma'am for making you lose your time with me. I will leave now", Isabella said standing up slowly.
" You came for the interview.. why do you need that job?",Mrs. Alexis asked .
" I'm a student and need to make some extra money, for rent and other things I might need", Isabella replied smiling at Mrs. Alexis.
They walked out of the office talking , Mrs. Alexis asked her to leave her documents with her and she would try and get her something to do at the company . Isabella thanked her for everything as she hugged the nice lady she met today and this time she made sure that she did walk out the door . She looked around her as she felt sad, she thought that today didn't turned out the way she thought it would have.
She sat down on the bench close to the building, she had taken a small chocolate from the bowl at the exit door.
" Free chocolate, why not!", she said as she looked at was written on there.
" Love bites", she read it out and smiled as she put the small chocolate in her mouth.
She closed her eyes as she enjoyed the delicious taste of the chocolate on her tongue.
" At least something good today!", Isabella said .

Kal looked around his new office , he didn't want to occupy his father's office since he knew that eventually the old man will be back in the company.
"Excuse me Sir", Mrs. Alexis said walking in his office.
" Hi there, where is the little trouble maker?", Kal asked her.
" You meant Isabella. She left already. I wanted to talk to you about her... I think she could be the one to take my place whilst I'm away ", Mrs. Alexis said and Kal looked at her with a frown on his face.
" That girl?! She couldn't even walk out the door ,what can she possibly do working here?", Kal said shaking his head .
" No Mrs. Alexis, find me someone else", Kal said .
" Mr. Dukas, sorry but maybe you should give her a chance, she needs the job, I saw it her in her eyes", Mrs. Alexis said leaving Isabella's Cv on his desk.
Kal looked at the documents that Mrs. Alexis placed on his desk and then he turned around put his hands in his pockets and looked down at the street below. He noticed Isabella sitting down on a bench close to the building. She was looking at her blouse and then stood up and walked down the street towards the bus stop.
He turned around and looked at the documents again , then he sat down at his desk and took Isabella's Cv and read it.
He picked up his office phone and called Mrs. Alexis.
" Call that young lady for an interview tomorrow at 8am.When I say 8, I mean 8 not one second later!",Kal said to Mrs. Alexis.
