Chapter 29

Kal dropped Isabella back at her apartment.
Isabella wanted to ask him the thousand questions going around in her head but she didn't know how to start the conversation.Kal switched off the engine and they looked at each other. Kal could see the sadness in her eyes and he pulled her closer hugging her tightly.

" I'll see you at the office tomorrow", Kal whispered close to her ear.

Isabella hugged him tightly and kissed him on his cheek.She got out of the car and grabbed her suitcases. She waved goodbye as he drove away and then walked up to the front door of the apartment.
She took out her keys and before she put it in the door lock the door opened and Emma shouted ,

"And she's back!", and hugged her.

As she pulled back from her friend's embrace Emma noticed that Isabella looked sad.

" Hey what's wrong!?", Emma asked as Isabella walked in and put her suitcases in the sitting room.

She dropped her handbag on the sofa and sat down quietly and put her arms around her. Sadness was surrounding her and she couldn't understand why. She had a wonderful trip and one that went better than what she had in mind , yet she couldn't help but feel that her fairytale will soon come to an end.
She looked at her friend and smiled faintly and she asked Emma to sit next to her.

" Em, so many things happened. I'm so happy but at the same time I can't help but feel that soon all this will end and I will wake up from this dream and...", Isabella was saying without pausing that Emma had to stop her.

" Hey there !! I'm lost here ! What's going on Isa? Can you slow down a bit!",Emma asked with a serious face .

" Emma, I don't know ! Maybe I shouldn't had allowed it to go this far!! I'm confused.. I'm ..",
Isabella said when her friend interrupted her again.

" Isabella can you pull yourself together and tell me what are you on about?", Emma asked her friend with a serious tone , Isabella was about to drive her crazy if she carried on talking like that.

" Emma, I , We ... Kal and I slept together!", Isabella blurted out and then looked at the shocked face of her friend.

Emma couldn't speak and just stared at her for a few seconds and then she saw a smile curved on her lips.

" I knew it! I knew it!!", Emma said in excitement as she stood up and clapped her hands.

" I should have bet on this! That you and Mr. Dukas liked each other!", Emma said and laughed.

" Emma it's not funny. Can't you see I'm dying here!", Isabella said giggling as Emma grabbed her hands pulling her to stand up as the two friends looked at each other .

" I want details !! How , when , how many times .. how is he is bed? As good as he looks?!", Emma said excitedly.

" What?! That will be too much details!!",
Isabella laughed letting go of her friend's hands and ran upstairs, Emma ran up behind her. Isabella lay down on her bed and Emma sat next to her.

Isabella told Emma everything and her friend sat there smiling dreamily as if Isabella was reading her something from a romance novel.

" Oh Isabella! That's so romantic! And he was your first .. right?", Emma asked narrowing her eyes.

" Yes ! He was ..Of all people.. Kal Dukas had to be my first experience! But why?! Emma this could have been just .. just an enjoyable moment for him that's it!", Isabella said getting up from the bed as sadness clouded her happiness again.

" Isabella, for this to happen I'm sure Kal must have feelings for you. He doesn't come across as that sort of guy who plays around. Maybe you guys should talk and tell him how you are feeling.. about what happened between the two of you", Emma said as she took Isabella's hands into hers and gave them a little squeeze.
