Chocoholic... a healthy love story

Chapter 4

Isabella arrived at the company ten minutes to eight , she was shown to Mr. Dukas's office and sat in the waiting area. She checked her watch it was 8 o'clock and she looked at the door to Mr. Dukas's office. She waited impatiently for it to open since Mrs. Alexis said that he was very prompt.
She didn't see anyone else around , she checked her clothes ,crossed her legs  and then uncrossed them again. She was so anxious and her heart was beating fast , she took her phone out and tried to find something to keep her busy and to calm her down a bit.
" Isabella, have you been here for long?", Mrs. Alexis said coming in the waiting area.
" I was here before 8 like you said", Isabella said smiling happy to see a familiar face.
Mrs. Alexis checked her watch and looked at Kal's office , she found it weird that he wasn't in yet and he had kept Isabella waiting for him.
" Guess he is running late, anyways just come to my office and wait for him there", Mrs. Alexis said to her.
Isabella smiled at her , she thought it was a great idea . Sitting here by herself was only making her anxious.
Isabella sat down on a sofa in Mrs. Alexis office , she looked around the room and smiled . The office was of a very nice light coral color and very spacious, making anyone who walked in there feel welcome and with the elegant furnitures it made it felt like a place you didn't want to leave. She surely felt more comfortable than when she was sitting in the waiting area surrounded by glass windows . The walls were covered with chocolates advertisement and even the whole room smelled of chocolate. Mrs. Alexis desk was covered with documents and she saw a picture of Mrs. Alexis and two young girls on the right corner of her desk.
" How do you like the room?", Mrs. Alexis asked .
" I was just thinking how comfortable and welcoming it is!", Isabella replied smiling.
Her gaze fell on Mr. Dukas's office she noticed someone going inside and she checked her watch it was half past eight.
"So much for being prompt!", She thought as she heard Mrs. Alexis office phone rang and she answered,
" Good morning Mr. Dukas. Yes , she is here with me. I'll tell her to come right away Sir.", Mrs. Alexis said and hung up the phone.
" Mr. Dukas is here. Be nice and polite. He is really serious when it comes to work. So hurry", Mrs. Alexis said.
" Geez now I'm like a nervous wreck!", Isabella said as she got up and walked out to go for her interview.
She took in a deep breath and then knocked on the door ,
" Come in!", a male voice shouted from inside.
Isabella put on her best smile and opened the door to the office, she wiped the smile off her face when she saw who was sitting at the desk, it was none other than that silver eyes guy from yesterday!
He stared at her making her feel more uncomfortable, If that is Mr. Dukas! I'm so Not getting the job, I should just leave!", She thought as she heard him said annoyingly,
" Are you going to stand there the whole day! I've got things to do!".
And she swore she heard him curse softly as she closed the door.
" Mr. Dukas?!", She said shyly as she stood by the closed door.
" Yes! Can you take a seat!", Kal said almost shouting at her as he pointed to the chair in front of his desk.
Isabella quickly walked towards the chair in front of his desk and sat down not knowing if she should cross her legs or not or if she should fold her arms , she was not comfortable being around that man sitting in front of her.
" Are you ok? Do you have a problem , since I noticed you are so nervous .. can we start the interview now!?", Kal asked her with a serious tone.
" Yes Sir", Isabella said softly as she took in a deep breath.
Kal started the interview, he noticed that she didn't have much working experience but since she can speak different languages that was a plus for her. She spoke politely and listened to whatever he had to say not jumping in to add anything unless he asked her to.
He could see that she really wanted a job and he was willing to give her a chance .
" Ok Miss. Garcia", Kal said reading from her CV.
" You don't have any working experience in office management so you cannot replace Mrs. Alexis , but I'm willing to give you a chance to work here at the company. You will assist the new person that I will hire to take the place of Mrs. Alexis. So you will be running errands, attending to meetings to take minutes and any other thing that my assistant will require. We will take you on as part time. You should be here by 7.30 in the morning and you can leave by 1.30pm. Since you mentioned you have afternoon classes. So you will start tomorrow morning. Go to the reception and ask them for two sets of trainee uniforms .. please note I'm also giving you a job because for some reasons Mrs. Alexis wanted to help you.. ", Kal said and without asking her if she had any questions he told her to leave.
Isabella didn't know what to do since she wanted to ask him about her salary , she sat there and then Kal looked at her.
" What are you still doing here? Go ...", Kal said showing her the door.
Isabella slowly stood up and then walked to the door, she walked out and closed the door and leaned against it.

" Well at least I've got a job! Now will I get paid or ..", Isabella was saying to herself when the door to the office suddenly opened and she fell backwards, she felt someone grabbed her from behind.
" Oh no !", she thought not again, as she turned side ways to look at an angry face looking back at her.
" I'm sorry...", she started to say when he let go of her and walked past her and then turned around,
" If you want to work here you need to stop clowning around, you got that!", Kal said to her angrily.
Isabelle was hurt by his words and held her breath so that she didn't cry in front of him. She nodded yes and then he walked away.
" You are such a mean person .. Mr. Dukas!", Isabella said quietly as she looked at him walking away.
