Chocoholic... a healthy love story

Chapter 11

Kal and Isabella spent almost the whole day in his office typing letters and sending emails. She caught a glimpse of the new project and she thought the chocolate boxes looked amazing! She couldn't wait to see the project becoming a reality and chocolate tasting was something she was looking forward to!

Kal had left her alone in the office for a while and he came back carrying a chocolate box and handed it to her. Isabella hesitated to take it but Kal told her it was hers.She took the tiny chocolate box and looked at it, the box was a golden color and the word " I wish...",was written on the box in a beautiful font, she turned the box around and read what was written on the back.

"When you take a bite of this delicious chocolate, you have to close your eyes and wish for what your heart desires... wishes do come true"
Isabella smiled , this was very interesting whoever came up with that idea knew how to capture those who were a sucker for romance! Isabella thought and she looked at Kal,

" May I?", she asked she wanted to taste the chocolate not because it made wishes come true ,she never believed in those things.

" You can but then we have to get back to work , it's getting late", Kal said and sat down at his desk.

Gosh, why is he always grumpy .. maybe he should have a chocolate as well .. it will calm him down!,Isabella thought as she opened the box.

She looked at the tiny chocolates in star shaped and she smiled, " Well I guess it's wishing upon a star!", she said softly. She took one and put it in her mouth. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the taste of the chocolate on her tongue.The sweet delight melted on her tongue and she loved the exotic flavor of the cacao in there, it was like one wasn't enough to satisfy one's  heart but she couldn't gobbled  the whole box now.

She opened her eyes and saw Kal looking at her and she saw a smile on his face which quickly disappeared as he bent his head down and looked at the paper on his desk.

" I have to admit... this is so nice! Do you want one?", Isabella asked excitedly.

" No.. get back to work", was Kal's response.

Isabella looked at him she wished he could lose some of that attitude, he looked more attractive  when he was relaxed than when his face looked so serious and he had that grumpy attitude on!

Isabella didn't say anything, she put the chocolate down and got back to work. She checked her watch it was nearly 4.30 and she better leave soon if she wanted to get home before dark.

" Excuse me Mr. Dukas..", Isabella said and Kal raised his head and looked at her raising his eye brows.

" I'm sorry but it's getting late and I live quite far from here..", Isabella was saying and Kal told her she could leave and then went back to work.

Isabella sat there and stared at him, he didn't bother to say anything else , like at least  to say thank you!
Isabella didn't say anything as well, she gathered her things and grabbed her bag.

" This is for you", Kal said handing her a white envelope.

She took it from him and put it in her bag. She softly said goodbye which he didn't reply and made her way to the office door when it opened and in walked Adrian.

" Hi Isabella, leaving already?", Adrian asked with a big smile , she stopped in front of the doorway and greeted him politely.

" Yes", she replied and Adrian looked over his shoulder towards Kal.

" Kal you don't mind I'll take her home it's getting late?", Adrian asked his brother.

Isabella turned and looked at Kal who was looking at Adrian ,
" Well you should ask her that question ?", Kal replied looking at her.

" It's ok Mr. Adrian . I'll call for a taxi", Isabella replied but Adrian insisted and she had to agree and told him to drop her at the bus stop.

Adrian told his brother he will be coming back soon as he left with Isabella.
Kal looked at the closed door and hit his fist on the table. He didn't know why he didn't suggest to Isabella that he would drive her home.

" Well she had to agree to Adrian driving her home! Like I thought... easy girl!", Kal said as he got up from his desk and walked towards the sitting room.

He stood close to the windows and could see Adrian and Isabella talking in the car. She got out and came back towards the house and saw Kal looking at her through the window.
She rang the door bell and Kal opened the door.

" I forgot my chocolate box", Isabella said and Kal stepped away as she made her way to the office.

" Too much in a hurry to go with Adrian", Kal said entering his office.

" What do you mean by that?", Isabella asked looking at him as she picked up her chocolate box from the coffee table.

" Hurry he is waiting for you, probably what you wished for when you ate that chocolate", Kal said and Isabella didn't like one bit what he was implying.

" Well Sir, your brother  offered to drive me home so I accepted it. It doesn't mean I'm taking him to my bed!! If that what you are implying Sir!", Isabella said angrily and Kal stared at her .

He didn't believe a word she just said , she could be one of those easy girls who was just pretending to be an angel. She stormed by Kal and made her way to the kitchen , she got out through the back door and walked down the road. She rather walked all the way home, she was so upset about what Kal had said to her that she was only seeing red!

She walked quickly by the road side and hailed for the taxi that was passing by. Luckily the driver stopped and she ran towards the car.
She sat at the back and told the driver to drop her at the  bus stop in the city.She opened her bag to put the chocolate box in and noticed that white envelope.

She took it out and opened it, she took out the letter and saw a 50 Euro note in there as well.
She opened the letter and read it , she smiled as she read it, it was her salary notice. Even as a trainee  working half day , her salary was not that bad she will be getting 400 Euros and each time she worked over time she will get additional 50 Euros per hour.
She smiled as she put the letter back in her bag, and looked out of the window.

She didn't want to think of Kal and what happened today all she cared about was that she would  be getting paid so she didn't have to rely on her family anymore.

Kal walked out of the office and met Adrian who was coming towards him.

" Have you seen Isabella?", he asked Kal.

Kal looked at him in surprise , " Well you were supposed to drive her home you should know",Kal replied.

" What's with the attitude now?!", Adrian asked as he looked around the house.

The maid came in the sitting room and Kal asked her if she had seen Isabella and she said that she saw her leaving through the kitchen door.
Adrian hurried out and got in his car , thinking that he could catch up with her .
Kal stood by the window and looked at his brother , his thoughts went back to Isabella.

" She actually left on her own! Could I have been wrong about her?!", Kal asked himself.

He grabbed his phone thinking that he should check up on her but he pushed it back inside his pocket. He will ask Mrs. Cora to do that later he thought as he walked back to his office.
