"This is a fighting type gym." Maddie explained as we walked into the Dewford gym.
"Awesome!" I said as I saw Brawly waiting for a challenger.
"I challenge you to a battle!" I screamed.
"Whoa little man, you sure your ready? I suggest practicing while surfing."
"I'm ready."
"Ok, then. Lets battle." Brawly held out a pokeball. "Go Makuhita!"
A large yellow punching bag like pokemon popped out and growned. It looked strong.
"Go Mareep!" I called out.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Mareep shot thunder at Makuhita who was hurt but not out.
"Use Seismic Throw!" Brawly screamed. Makuhita threw Mareep high into the sky and let it hit the ground.
"No! Mareep! Use Tackle!" Mareep threw itself at Makuhita. Both pokemon hobbled about until they both fainted.
"Go Machop!" Brawly threw out a gray and muscular pokemon.
"Go Wingull!" I called out. "Use Wing Attack!"
"Oh no..." Brawly was stunned. Wingull hit Machop with its wings until Machop fell and fainted.
"I can't believe it. I lost. Heres the Knuckle Badge, kid.
"Thanks it means a lot." I thanked.
"You deserved it little man. I suggest you catch a wave to Slateport next. Ask Briney, he'll take you.
"Thank you." Maddie and I left to go see Mr. Briney
