The Petalberg Gym Leader

We walked into the beautiful little city. The sound of the water running relaxed me as I lazily drifted towards the pokemon center to heal my pokemon.

"Hello there, can I heal your pokemon for you?" Asked Nurse Joy, a women with a pink dress covered with a white apron and a white hat on top of her pink hair asked.

"Yes please!" Maddie and I handed our pokeballs to her and she put them in a machine.

"I can't thank you enough for Skitty, Brendan." Maddie said.

"No problem."

"Mareep and Skitty have been healed! Number 402!" Nurse Joy called out to us. I flashed my number and gabbed the pokeballs.

"Thank you!" I said as we walked out of the door.

"Anytime!" She called back.

We approached the Petalberg Gym.

I opened the doors and yelled "NORMAN!"

"You call your Dad Norman?" Maddie asked.

"Only to get his attention in the gym." Norman ran out!

"Is everythoing ok?" He seemed worried.

"Yes. Dad, I have a question." My voice was shaking.

"What is it?" My Dad seemed a little worried.

"Can we have a battle? A gym battle?" I asked. "Mareep and I have been training a lot."

The room was silent. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!" My Dad was almost crying.

"Try getting four other badges first!" He rudly stated in between his obnoxious laugh. "And whose your girlfriend, Son?" He asked.

"She is just a friend!" I screamed, getting red from anger and embarassment.

"I'm Maddie." Maddie introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you, Maddie." Dad was actually being kind.

"Alright Son, how about you go to to Rustboro City? Roxanne can give you your first badge if you can beat her. Just go through Petalberg Woods." I mapped out our journey.

"You promise you will battle me when I have four badges?" I asked.

"Promise. I'll see you soon!" My Dad said. We left and went out of the town.

"Your gym battes are going to be so exciting." Maddie explained.

I began getting excited. "LETS GO!" I screamed as I ran out of the city and approached the woods.
