I lifted my head as he embraced me. He smiled knowingly and kissed me like I wanted. "Night my sweet Peach." He whispered as we broke away.
"Goodnight my loyal saviour." I responded fondly, smiling at our ongoing joke.
"I'll see you tomorrow!" He waved as he drove away. After I couldn't see him anymore I headed upstairs for an attempt at sleep even though I was sure it wasn't coming for a long time. I was right.
*** (Name my stars! They need love too!)
"Lex wake up!" A voice yelled in my ear.
"What." I mumbled and turned away from the voice.
"You have a date to get ready for! So get your lazy ass out of bed!"
"In a minute."
"Alexandria Grace Sanders you get up right now!"
"Fine." I groaned and sat up slowly, letting my eyes adjust to the light. I looked over at the person who woke me up and almost rolled my eyes when I saw Charlotte actually standing on the bed.
"Better. Now shower and put this on." She threw some clothes at me and whipped the sheets off of me.
"Char!" I protested sleepily as I desperately tried to recover the warmth. "Screw you." I muttered and got up.
"Love you too Lex." She sang teasingly.
When I stepped out of the shower I was much more awake and excited now that I finally remembered what I was getting ready for. I put on the chosen outfit with a quick glance in the mirror, casual and durable yet very cute. A pair of denim shorts with a braided leather belt and a loose, coral and slightly cropped t-shirt.
"Have I ever told you how amazing you are?" I asked Charlotte as I walked out of the bathroom.
"Oh my god Lex! You look so awesome!" She shrieked. "And do I dare say hot?"
"Char! I do not!"
"To Jasper you will." She winked with a laugh.
"Makeup?" I asked and rolled my eyes.
"If you want. I'm not going to do much though."
"Go for it." I sat down on my bed and she grabbed my makeup bag. A few coats of mascara and lipgloss later I looked amazing if I do say so myself.
"Sandals and then you're done."
"Yes ma'am." I saluted and put on the shoes.
"Look in the mirror." She nudged me with a grin.
"You did an amazing job." I told her in awe.
"I know right?"
"Oh shut up." I laughed and turned around, admiring my look. Charlotte's head snapped up as the doorbell rang and looked to me with a childish grin. "There's your date."
"Come with me and get it." I insisted, instantly nervous.
"Sure, I should probably get going anyways. My job here is done." She shrugged and led the way downstairs. "You open the door."
"No you!"
"It's your house."
"It is? Really?" I laughed and opened the door. "Hi Jasper." I was surprised by the shyness in my voice.
"Lex," He paused and looked at me up and down for a moment. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks." I smiled and looked up at him nervously. Why did I still feel this way? It's definitely not our first date.
"Anyways." Charlotte interrupted loudly. "I'm going to go now. See you around Lex and have fun." She winked and turned around laughing.
"You ready?" Jasper asked me.
"Of course. I missed you."
"I saw you last night." He chuckled.
"So? I still missed you."
"Missed you too." He kissed my cheek gently and took my hand. "Come on." He walked me to the car and opened the door for me.
"Such a gentleman." I teased.
He shrugged. "I try."
"Where are we going Jasper?" I laughed as the wind whipped my hair behind me.
"It's a surprise!"
"You love your surprises don't you?"
"Mm hm." He nodded and gave me a quick peck.
"Focus on the road!" I shrieked.
"Calm down Lex. It's okay."
"Just focus on the road."
"It sucks that school starts in a bit doesn't it?"
"Yeah. I wish we went to the same school at least."
"I know. Me too." He sighed.
**
"Here we are!" He sang and helped me out of the car.
"Where's here?"
"North Redshore. There's a really nice hike I wanted to take you on.
"Sounds nice."
"It has an awesome view." He grabbed my hand and we started our walk up the hill.
"Come on Lex!" He called back to me.
"I'm coming!" I laughed and raced up the grassy hill, shoes in hand. I'd given up on them and the grass here was pretty soft so it didn't hurt too much. I tore up the slope and into Jasper's arms. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I followed with putting my arms around his neck. He laughed and carried me over to a tree. I smiled and looked over his shoulder at the view. "Look at that view." I sighed.
"It's nice isn't it?"
"Yeah." I rested my head on his shoulder and put my legs around his waist.
"Although there's a rather nice view on top of me." He smirked.
"Shut up."
"No." He murmured and kissed me like I was in a picture perfect moment.
"I feel like a movie star right now." I smiled at him happily.
"I don't care if you're not. I love you more than any fan ever could."
"I love you Jasper." I hugged him tightly and he set me down underneath the tree.
"Love you too Lex." He sat down next to me and kissed me again. When we pulled away I lay down on his chest and gazed up at the sky through the leaves. I had the perfect boyfriend, an amazing friend and pretty much my dream life. "I love you to the moon and back. I wouldn't want my summer to end in any other way." I whispered.
