I woke up the next morning after one of the most amazing nights.
"Hey Lex." Jasper kissed me softly as I stirred.
"Why can't you be my alarm clock everyday?" I complained sleepily.
"Because life."
"Yeah I know I know. Now I'm going back to sleep."
"No you're not."
"Yes. I am."
"I don't think so." He lifted me out of bed bridal style and carried me into a cozy sitting room.
"I take back what I said! I do not want you as an alarm clock!" I shrieked in protest.
"Oh you know you love me Peachy."
"I just can't say no to you! That's my problem."
"But that's the best problem to have! You know what it's called?"
"What?"
"Love."
"You are so cheesy." I shook my head slowly.
"Is it also cheesy that I made us breakfast?"
"Yes but I like it." I admitted.
"Good because I worked hard on it."
"Did you now?"
"Anything for you Lex."
"I love you Jasper."
"I love you too." He kissed me as he set me down on a chair with my breakfast in front of me. I took the first bite of pancake hesitantly. "You're sure this is safe to eat?" I asked before putting the food in my mouth.
"It's definitely safe." He assured me as he started eating his helping.
"It's good."
"Told you." He said arrogantly.
"Shut up." I laughed.
The rest of the morning flew by quickly and soon it was time for me to leave. "Lex you got everything you brought?" Jasper double checked for the millionth time.
"Yes! I've told you already!" I replied exasperatedly
"Just double checking!"
"Yeah yeah." I muttered.
"Let's go!" He moved to scoop me up but I darted out of the way nimbly. "Damn it you caught on to me."
"It wasn't hard!" I stuck my tongue out childishly.
"Get in the car."
"Yes sir." I saluted with a grin.
"Seriously Lex?"
"Yes seriously."
"You amaze me." He shook his head as he spoke.
"I know." I retorted.
"Say bye to my house!"
"Bye bye Jasper's house!" I burst out laughing as I waved out the window.
"Music?" He asked once I stopped laughing.
I nodded and plugged my phone in like before. Soon enough music was blasting out of the stereo, making the car ride seem so much shorter.
"Here we are my Princess."
"Thanks Jasper."
"Anytime. Now come on."
"You don't need to walk me to my door!" I protested as he opened the car door.
"For the last time, I know. I want to do it."
"It's more work for you but whatever you want!" I exclaimed in exasperation.
"Whatever I want?"
"Almost anything." I clarified.
"Does this count?" He asked as he flung me over his shoulder.
"Put me down!" I shrieked. "This does not count!"
"Just enjoy having someone who will do this Lex. In other words, shush."
"Fine." I pouted as he carried me up the front steps. When we reached the top he let me down and I unlocked the door for him. "Thank you my Mario."
"Anything for my Princess Peach." He gave me a quick peck and I, of course, blushed like I always do. "I'll talk to you later okay?"
"Okay. Bye."
"Farewell my love." He bowed and took his imaginary hat off much to my amusement.
"Love you!" I called as he got in his car.
"Love you too!" He waved as he drove away and I smiled to myself. Is it even possible for life to be this perfect?
