Chapter 5

I opened the door and smiled as Tessa greeted me. Conner sauntered past her and waved at me. Behind them I saw the rest of the group. I left Drew to say hi to his friends and went outside to greet Nicole. She smiled at me, her black hair bobbing as she walked. We went back upstairs and crowed onto the couch. "Move over Tess!" I groaned.

"You move over!" She replied.

"Guys shut up!" Drew complained. "I can't hear!"

"Shush Drew." Charlotte hissed. "You're not helping."

"Guys shut up!"

*Ding*

"Alexia I swear to god."

"Sorry!" I whispered. I checked my phone and saw a new text from Jasper.

J: How's the movie Peach?

K: Shush my friends are ready to smash my phone into a million pieces

J: Hahaha wait are you serious?

K: They sound like it

J: Oh no. I can't have that happening. I'll talk to you later Princess

K: Bye Japser

I turned off my phone. "Sorry."

"It's ok now SHUT UP." Drew hissed loudly.

"Fine." I grumbled.

After the movie I was hiding behind a pillow. "Why did you choose a horror movie Char?"

"Because it's awesome!" She replied.

"If I can't sleep I blame you Char."

She laughed and got up. "You guys going home then?"

"Yeah thanks for having us." Tessa gushed. "It was awesome." She waved as Conner walked her to the car.

"See you Alexia." Nicole waved at me."

"See you!" I called back.

After everyone else had left Drew went to bed, leaving Charlotte and I in the movie room.

"So, you going home too? You could hang around for a while."

"I wish I could but I don't think my mom would like it. Sorry." I replied.

"No problem. I'll text you later then."

"Kay. Bye."

"Bye bye Lexie!" She called out after me, laughing. I groaned and waved as I pulled out. When I got home it was 10:24, hopefully not too late. Otherwise it was off with my head. "Hey mom! I'm home!" I yelled.

"Alexia! How was it?"

"Lot's of fun."

"What time is it?" She asked.

Oh no. Crossing my fingers she wouldn't freak out I told her. "10:24."

"Alexia." She said slowly. "That's too late and you know it."

"I came as soon as the movie was over mom! I couldn't leave in the middle!" I explained.

"I know sweetie. But next time, please call me if you're going to late." She answered patiently.

"Okay I will. I'm going to bed. Night."

"Goodnight."

I jogged up the stairs and closed my bedroom door before texting Jasper.

K: Movie's over I'm ok to talk now. There's no longer a death threat

J: That's good. Otherwise I would have to be Mario, my Princess Peachy.

K: Hahaha

Wait did he just say 'My Princess'? Oh my god does he like me?

J: No seriously I'd barge with my mushrooms and turtle shells ready to take on Bowser.

K: XD

J: Anyways... How was the movie?

K: Really cool

It was actually terrifying but he can't know that. I'll sound like a wussy.

J: What was it about?

K: It was a zombie apocalypse type thing

I loved zombie books but in those there were no jump scares or gore. Unless it was really well described gore then I loved them, the books I mean.

J: I love a good zombie movie

K: Hahaha I bet you do

J: Princess Peach hold on to your crown because I have the most fantastic idea

K: I'm holding on Mario. Now take my breath away

J: :) We should... Drumroll please!

K: *rolls eyes* Get on with it

J: We should Skype!

Wait what. He wanted to see me? He was curious about me?! I grinned to myself and hugged my pillow against my chest. But what if he didn't like me? What if he thought I was ugly or something like that? I can't Skype with him!

K: Great idea but I can't :(

J: Why not?

K: I don't have a working camera on my phone :(

J: Oh. Can I see a pic then?

K: I think I can dig one up from before... Hang on

J: *Jepordy theme plays*

K: Haha here you go

I sent him a picture of Becca, my cousin from Whitning. She had short brown hair that was cut off right above her shoulders and in the picture her green eyes glowed. She looked radiant posing for the camera.

J: Woah.

K: Woah?

J: I can't believe this is the girl I met on some crappy little chat site

K: Really?

J: Yeah really. You're stunning in that pic

Okay cue the jaw drop. This was not meant to happen.

K: Thanks!

J: Any time my beautiful princess

Okay cue the dramatic faint. He definitely liked me, well not me, well he liked my personality but Becca's looks. This was not good.

K: Oh Mario. *dramatic swoon*

J: Hahaha

K: Oh my god is it actually 11:34 right now?

J: Oh my god it is

K: Okay so this is really choppy-ish but I got to go

J: Choppy-ish?

K: I can't think of the word right now!

J: That's so you.

K: Ha ha.
