Chapter 4

K: Jaaaasper

K: Jaaaaaaaasper

J: What?

K: Hi

J: ...

K: Awwww come on. You know you missed me

I laughed. A week had gone by and we had become very close. Yesterday Jasper gave me his phone number so now we were texting using iMessage rather than Private Message.

J: *rolls eyes* hi

K: :P

J: So why did you actually text me?

K: Because I wanted to! Do I need a reason?

J: I guess not...

K: What's wrong?

J: Nothing I'm fine

K: Sure you are

J: ttyl Kate

K: See you Jasper

"Alexia! Come inside and put on some sunscreen." My mom called.

"Coming mom!" I headed inside and put on the sunscreen like she told me to. "Hey can I go to Charlotte's for a bit?"

"Did you put some sunscreen on?"

"Yes mom."

"Then go ahead. Just take your phone with you."

"It's my life mom. I'm not going anywhere without it."

She rolled her eyes. "Have fun and let me know when you'll be home soon."

"Okay. See you."

"Hey Char."

"Lexie! What's up?"

"Oh my god Charlotte. Don't call me Lexie."

"Fine. So Alexia, what's up?"

"Nothing much. Just wanted to give you a heads up that someone might be popping in for that movie night."

"Right... Okay I'll see you soon then."

I laughed. "See you soon Lottie." I heard her groan in annoyance as I hung up and pulled out of the driveway. Charlotte had promised me a movie night and it was time to redeem it. 10 minutes later I arrived at her house and knocked on the door.

"Hey Lexie."

"Not you too." I groaned. Charlotte's older brother Drew had answered the door.

"Come on in." He laughed. "Lottie's upstairs in the movie room."

"Thanks." I hurried past him and headed up the stairs. "Charlotte!"

"Oh! Hey Alexia!"

"Hey! So who's coming?" I asked as I plopped down on the couch.

"I invited Tessa with Conner coming obviously." She replied. Conner was the most well known player in the school and his current victim? Tessa, our best friend. She never did anything without him, it's like they were attached with strings. "And I think Drew invited Tomas and Sasha. Oh and Nicole is coming too."

"Sounds good. I brought popcorn by the way." I passed her the microwave bag and she grinned. "Awesome. Thanks." She took it downstairs and I heard the microwave start up. I sprawled out on the couch and took out my phone.

K: Hey

J: Hay is for horses

K: So you've said

J: It's true

K: I know Captain Obvious

J: I know you know Princess Peach

K: :)

I loved our conversations like this. Sarcastic but not mean.

J: What are you doing on this fine evening?

K: Movie night with a bunch of friends. You?

J: Absolutely nothing. Well except Wattpad

K: That says something about your social life doesn't it?

J: Nice quote Peach

K: Thanks :) Anyways, here comes the popcorn. Ttyl

J: Bye Princess

I smiled as I put my phone away. He called me Princess. I was just sitting there smiling like an idiot when Charlotte came back.

"Who were you texting?"

"No one."

"Liar I know it was a guy."

"Damn it Char you're just too good."

"Ha! Who was it then?"

"No one you'd know."

"Try me." She challenged.

I was saved from answering by the doorbell. Thank god.
