| III | Sensei Garmadon

*Scarlett's POV*

"This is a perfect place to lay low." Lloyd walked over to Cole who had just lifted a tree to hide his mech. "No robots, no cameras, no problems."

"Still, if any aerial drones pass overhead, you better wear this." Nya tossed Lloyd a green ninja suit. "It will scramble their signal so they can't find you."

Upon putting it on, he smiled. "Yeah... this is sweet."

A voice then came by. "Lloyd?"

"Mom?" He embraced his mother.

"What are you all doing here?" Misako asked.

"The Overlord's back, and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control," Lloyd explained. "He has Sensei Wu."

"Wu's tough. There's a reason he's lived as long as he has." Misako smiled at her son reassuringly.

"Where's Dad?"

"Yeah, where's Lord Garmadon?" Kai questioned. I elbowed him.

"He no longer goes by Lord. Here, he is Sensei Garmadon. And he won't be back until this evening's lesson."

"Uh, did you just say Sensei Garmadon?" Jay asked.

"I'm glad he's on our side, now. With Sensei Wu gone, we could use the help," Zane said.

"Come in. But your weapons are not allowed." Misako began leading us away from the forest. "Ever since Lloyd saved his father, Garmadon has made an oath to never fight, in hope to make up for his evil past. It's an oath he takes very seriously."

"But we were supposed to protect these with our lives." Kai pulled out his Techno-Blade.

"And never let them out of our sight!" Jay agreed.

"You guys go on ahead. I will stay back and watch over them," Zane told the boys.

With no hesitation, they all stacked their Techno-Blades in his arms.

"Thanks, Zane!"

"You're the best."

"See ya!"

I frowned, walking over to him. "Do you want me to stay and help watch over?"

"It's alright, you go on. I will be fine." Zane smiled at me.

I nodded, giving him a small one back before walking off with everyone else.

Upon arriving to the monastery, small children were playing with a ball. When they saw us coming, they all ran our way.

Cole elbowed Kai and Jay, the three walking up first. "Ah, at least there are some places left in this world I'm still considered cool."

However, the children ran past the three and came up to Lloyd and I. "Whoa... it's the Green and Scarlet Ninjas!"

"Can you turn into a dragon?" one kid asked me.

"Ah, um..." I smiled. "Maybe another time."

Red stepped next to me, whispering in my ear. "You can turn into a dragon... right?"

"I can... but it just weakens me after. It takes up a lot of my energy, I only use it when it's absolutely necessary," I told him.

Jay, Cole, and Kai returned and started talking and playing with the kids. Red and I turned to see Nya staring.

Misako eyed us, chuckling. She turned to Nya. "I know that look."
