Clarke:
"How!? How could this have happened! What could she have been thinking!?" Cage growls.
After I cleaned the blood out of the room and found myself some clean clothes, I took her body to the private elevator, dropped her in there, pressed the top floor button, and sent her on her merry way. The next time a level 5 clearance worker used the elevator the radiation burnt body of our only doctor revealed itself like a performer on a stage. The cut down her neck almost invisible.
Its not hard to murder someone when your husband is the President.
"What the fuck was she thinking!?" He screams pounding his fist against the steel doors.
"Do you think it could have malfunctioned?" A guard chimes in.
"I don't know what happened but figure it out!"
"Honey?" I say in my scared delicate voice. Holding my stomach to bring the subject up faster.
"Oh Sweetheart..." He turns to me his face softening, the realization hitting him.
"The baby...?" I fake a tear.
"Don't worry Darling I'm going to figure it out. You're going to be okay I promise." He says taking my hand. "Go back to the room, I'm going to talk to the council. I won't be long."
Bellamy:
The summer was finally over and the morning air began to have a bite to it. The brisk air and dying vegetation slowly put everyone at camp on edge. It was a reminder that soon, the air would bite all day and night and all the green would not only be dead but covered in a blanket of ice and snow.
And Clarke was still gone. There was still nothing I could do about it. And it's all I could think about. So despite hating Noah's guts, I jumped at the chance of a hunting trip. Something to keep my mind occupied. Till when I didn't know.
So here we are crunching through the leaves. Mount Weather is a four mile hike from the Ark so we hiked two then decided it would be best to go around. They didn't ask me or even discuss it near me but I knew they'd decided because of me. Because none of them thought I could handle it. They might be right though. I don't know If I could have handled it.
When we made it to the river that ran next to the bunker all eyes were on me. But instead of breaking down all I could feel was empty. As if the girl I loved wasn't right next me living unknown horrors. We stopped there for the night.
"You okay?" I bring my eyes from the fire up to see Noah's. Everything about him seemed strange to me, his eyes, the way his hair shined even in the dark. He always looked so clean and innocent, almost angelic. It was unsettling.
"Does it look like I'm okay?" I snap as he sits beside me.
"Just thought I'd ask."He mumbles.
"Why the sudden concern?" I say turning back to the fire. He just huffs a breath through his nose as if annoyed. "Why did you stay. When Lexa left I thought I'd finally be rid of you."
"I hated you, for a long time, but then I realized that you lost her too. Just like me. We both lost her."
"You stayed because of Clarke?"
"I thought so, but then I realized I needed to talk to you." I laugh, and humorless laugh.
"Well thanks Noah means a lot, now go away."
"Well what about me?"
"What about you?" I scoff.
"You're not asking me if I'm okay."
