Megan's POV

My head was pounding as I walked with my arm slung over Abbie's shoulders while we exited the hospital several days later. She dropped me off back at my house and I sat alone in my living room. The mirror hanging crookedly over my couch reflected light all over the room and I caught a glimpse of my own face.

I didn't recognize myself.

My hair was fluffed ten times bigger from bed head, thanks to the hospital room, and my skin seemed to have turned a sickly pale tone. My usually bright eyes looked as if they had dimmed to a cold tone of gray as they looked back at me half opened.

This wasn't me.

I lifted my baggy shirt half way to examine the jagged scar left by the blade of that monster.

Flashbacks of cold metal cutting my delicate skin leaving me breathless scream in my head. I almost scream a cry of pain before I hear a light knock on my door.

I swing open the door half heartedly to see Joycelyn standing impatient as she begins to lecture me.

"You left Thea alone?" she points a finger at my face, and I just let it stay. I had no energy to fight her.

"She was fine, we left her pizza so she's well fed."

"She's not an animal!"

"My point exactly, so she doesn't need my supervision."

She pondered this for a moment and seemed to agree with me so I sigh of relief.

Until I saw her.

"Miss me bitch?" she asked me in a raspy voice and my breath automatically hitches.

"How the hell did you get out of jail?"

I asked Sasha while she held the familiar blade at my throat. My eyes flutter shut in a quick second of panic.

To my dismay it wasn't Sasha who responded to me, but Joycelyn. She had been watching calmly with a coy smile, and I finally notice the gun sitting comfortably in the palm of her hand.

"Surprise."
