Megans POV
Married.
Psychopaths in love... can almost see the reality TV show now."I may have been Sasha's bitch for a long time but it's my time now. Right babe?" She turns to Jeff and they start to make out.
"Jesus christ."
"Spare me."
"You could have at least killed us first."
Joycelyn finally breaks away from Jeff, "SHUT UP." She takes a second to regain her cool and walks forward, Jeff behind her.
"We're going to have fun with them aren't we honey?"
Jeff nods his head. I yawn, just to piss her off.
"If we're done with the snooze fest I got somewhere to be." I look annoyed at her.
Joycelyn takes her precious time to walk up to me. I had a feeling of what was going to happen next. Joycelyn drew her hand back, and with full force slapped the crap out of my check.
The slap was so forceful, it knocked me to my side. My cheek stung as I tried to get back to my knees. Joycelyn would have none of that. She kicked my shoulder so I would roll onto my back then placed her boot on my chest. She started to put pressure on me. More and more, I let out a loud cry.
"Stop! Joycelyn you're going to kill her!" I hear Abbie yelling. The words didn't faze Joycelyn, she continued putting pressure on my chest until finally she was satisfied with herself and stepped off.
I coughed heavy, trying to get myself back onto my knees, groaning in pain.
Joycelyn laughs and turns to Jeff. "I need some alcohol. Want to join?"
He leaned forward and kissed her, "would love to."
"Can I get some alcohol too?" Abbie called out to them before they went into another room.
Joycelyn shot her a look, but kept walking.
"Are you alright?" Abbie asks.
"Yeah, she just bruised me," I respond. "But if you keep joking with her like that, you're going to get yourself killed."
"Worse things have happened." Abbie struggled to get loose from the handcuffs.
I look around, there has got to be a way through this. My eyes focused on the table in front of me. A knife, there was a knife on the table. "Hey Abbie, do you still know how to pick handcuffs?" I ask her still looking at the knife.
"Yeah, but I don't see the point if I don't have anything to pick them with."
A stand up, off of my knees, and walk towards the table as quietly as I could. I turn around and grab the knife with my hands. "Here," I whisper handing it to her.
She takes the knife and starts to pick. A few seconds later, I hear a faint clicking noise. "Now me," I whisper.
Abbie walks towards me and starts to pick at the handcuffs with the knife. She stops when we hear a sound coming around the corner. Shit.
"Pretend like you still have the cuffs on." I say urgently. She gets back on her knees just in time for Joycelyn to walk back into the room.
"So, where were we?" She asks.
"You were just about to let us go." Abbie tries to no avail.
"Jeff, hand me my knife. She dies first."
My eyes grow big at this, I turn to Abbie. She gives me her I have a plan look. Joycelyn fiercely makes her way to Abbie.
Joycelyn stands over Abbie when Abbie grabs the gun out of Joycelyn's holster. Abbie whips Joycelyn around and points the gun straight at her head. Talking to Jeff, she mimics Joycelyn, "Jeff, Honey, be a dear and set down your gun, or she dies."
He contemplates this, then finally sets down his gun. She loosens her grip on Joycelyn, still pointing her gun to Joycelyn's head. Abbie bends down and takes the keys off Joycelyn's hip, tossing them to me.
After undoing my cuffs, I walk over to Jeff and grab his gun. "Both of you, get on your knees." The two did as I said. "Abbie call the cops." I tell her still holding my gun towards their heads.
"Gladly," she smiles before turning around. I noticed something in Joycelyn's eye as soon as Abbie turned around.
This next part happened like it was in slow motion. Joycelyn pulled a gun from God knows where. She was pointing it straight at Abbie and fired. I run in front of the gun, and stumbled back. Abbie turns, concerned. Out of instinct, she takes the weapon in her hand and fired two bullets, one into Joycelyn's head, the other into Jeff's.
I remove my hand from where the bullet had entered, there was blood everywhere. I feel a presence hovering over me.
"Shit, she shot me."
"Hold on Megan, were going to get an ambulance. Megan just stay with me." Abbie panted above me.
I examined the wound, there was no way an ambulance is going to get here in time. She bent down next to me.
"Did you shoot those two bitches?" I asked feeling a little foggy now.
"Yeah, I shot those sons of bitches." She grabbed my hand in hopes I would stay with her. I felt my eye lids closing now. There was nothing I could do too stop them.
"Megan... Megan, come back too me. Megan!" I hear Abbie sob over me.
I felt pain, then I felt nothing. I stood next to Abbie now. I watched her. She cried harder now. I wanted to tell her I was ok, that I was fine, but I couldn't. All I could do was sit and watch her cry. I sat there until I felt a stronger force pulling me upwards. I never was good at saying goodbye.
