Megan's POV
You'd think killing the person who single-handedly ruined your life would give you a sense a freedom.
It doesn't.
Just a shitload of fear and guilt.
Abbie looked to me with fear and tears slowly forming in her eyes," I'm a murderer."
I wasn't sure of what to say.
We've had so many close encounters through our career that involved taking out a gun,but it's never escalated to actual death. Murder.
"Th-this was just an accident ok? We'll take it as self defense."
Abbie placed the palm of her hand to her forehead and sobbed. "They'll never believe me."
"Listen to me. This bitch has been going around for years killing man after man. Including our best friend, she could have gotten the same sentence if she was on trial anyway. Plus she was going to kill you first, so don't you dare worry about this."
I just hope I can believe that too.

The medics place Sasha in an ambulance on the gurney and placed a white cloth over her whole body. I cringed as the white of the cloth soaks up the blood she was still spilling from the bullet wounds.
Joycelyn was now sitting up straight with a blanket around her shoulders and one single handcuff on with the other attached to a pole.
I carefully walk up to her and her calm state shifts into a
Angry one?
"You killed my best friend!!" she practically sobbed and lunges for me before the chain cuts her short.
"She was all I had and YOU killed her. She was my sister you know, same foster family and everything." her hands were in tight fists as she spoke.
I had no pity within me for her.
"That so called friend of yours? Killed innocent men possibly women. As a police officer I would hope you'd understand that friendship can't come first. If Abbie broke the law I would have no choice but to turn her in to."
Joycelyn grins at my words.
"Oh then you'll just have to put her in for murder won't you?"

"Jenson we need to get back to the station." this police officer who I've forgotten his name told me.
I had been standing there on the same road where Joycelyn smiled, Sasha got carried away, and where Abbie was pacing the floor for two hours.
"Why?" I whispered.
"Abbie needs you and you're the only witness we have."
"Could she really be convicted of murder for this?"
"Reality? Yes. In my personal opinion? I find her completely innocent. You two have kind hearts and would never kill someone intentionally."
"Thank you. What's your name again." I wipe the tears off my face.
"Jake."
Oh the irony.
"Well Jake I'm ready to go meet Abbie and chief now.
